[A-O-W] Dippypiece Beta Tester 82 posts 6,069 battles Report post #1 Posted February 9, 2016 Mine hands down is easily over commiting in battleships and getting targeted by too many enemies, most of the times i can see it happening to but then im stuck. Ive resorted in some matches when i do this to just stoping and going bow on and reversing out if i can "no dd's around" as im too worried about showing the broadside. Thats the main issue i want to sort out with my personal game.
[SOFI] SgtTincan Beta Tester 229 posts 13,259 battles Report post #2 Posted February 9, 2016 randomness on salvos. Its weird to have one salvo splash 8 out 9 shells around the target and the next salvo netting in three citadells. Also the range dispersion with salvos, it should be the closer the more accurate not rng heavy as it is. i would remove the torpedo aiming assistance, and yes before the guys come in yelling "noob bb learn to dodge" i do play and enjoy torp heavy Destroyers.

daki Weekend Tester 1,677 posts 20,280 battles Report post #4 Posted February 9, 2016 Damn, I have so many that it is difficult to decide where to start Let me try: - Yoloing way too much (and hence dying too much) - Overestimating support from teammates - so I guess I have to start playing divisions & team battles - Relying excessively on guns when playing destroyers (even the IJN) and not enough on torps - thats a tough one to fix as I love pew, pew, pew... - Too often having those "great" strategic decisions in my head which turn disastrous - Overestimating my capabilities - Even when plan is good the execution lacks If I have to sum it up in one sentence: Too much aggressiveness bordering stupidity (or one could say too much stupidity while trying to be aggressive)

Come to me in your DD when I'm in my Warspite. You are so fenomally welcome! I got all the secondary perks and upgrades. I fought of 3 DD's alone in a battle and they become seebottomfloor decorations when getting to close. I love the decoration on that ship! Only 1 time I got torped to the floor was when I derped and was caught on complete surprise. On topic: much the same. Playing too over agressive. I just don't have the patience to camp behind a island or sail over the map border all the time. No I'm not rushing in full power in a straight line forwards but driving BB's and cruisers I'm 99% of the times at the frontline!

[FIFO] ilhilh [FIFO] Beta Tester 2,451 posts 7,514 battles Report post #11 Posted February 9, 2016 Overcommitting. And this goes for most classes (not CVs so much) as I have an aggressive play style. This can be a big boon for our team if I am paying enough attention and judge it right but it causes big problems when I get it wrong. I have made big strides recently particularly in DDs/CAs but it is definitely the area I am working most to improve so that I am as aggressive as possible. [A-O-W] Dippypiece Beta Tester 82 posts 6,069 battles Report post #12 Posted February 9, 2016 Well good thing for you Kenjiro in the next patch them secondarys with the coming perks could come in handy for you And same for you Ferry_25 but with the coming buffs to secondarys you will be an even bigger nemisis to destroyers in your mighty Warspite " iam going the secondary buff with mine also"
[ESN] Damanta [ESN] Beta Tester 311 posts 8,960 battles Report post #13 Posted February 9, 2016 As with most above: playing too aggressive, and trying to push with a single slow Warspite or a paperhulled Baltimore. Strangely enough, when I'm being aggressive in a Minekaze or Gremyashi it's not that much of a problem going alone. Must be the low detection rate coupled with torpedoes

Also, on higher tiers I just seem to forget how to play a ship to its strengths (prolly some kind of powerscare), while when I'm top tier I can find myself killed quickly because I become overconfident or overly agressive. Also, I sometimes lack proper tactical vision (I don't know what to do), while other times I play like I was being pulled on a string. So in a way inconsistence. Definitely done this before. I remember being in a game with my Iowa as the only tier 9. I nearly wet myself with glee at the thought of all of the pain I was going to bring down on the enemy team and if I didn't die first I was in the first 3 to die. And it was all my fault

IamTroublemaker Beta Tester 2,287 posts 11,047 battles Report post #22 Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) I guess I don't check the minimap too often. What happens a lot to me is that when I see 3-4 opponents, and 3-4-5-6 of us going towards them, I always try to push first to draw attention and fire (mostly when playing with a BB) just to realize, after a minute or two that those 4-5 teammates that were with me ran away to the other side of the map while I am being destroyed. EDIT: Or you could simply say I believe in my team too much and believe my teammates at least have the intelligence of a 5 year old, but most of the time I get disappointed. SBS Alpha Tester, In AlfaTesters 2,556 posts 1,924 battles Report post #24 Posted February 9, 2016 Probably a little too aggressive in my playstyle, I have a tendensy to go too far ahead of my team and die alone. Need to learn the citadels of a lot ships, still can't seem to hit them reliably enough. Also, need to work on my carrier gameplay again, after I took a 2 month break to play other ships, my skills just went down the drain. Probably also has something to do with balance changes. Still, the best way to improve is to know you got a problem.
