I have got myself up to the heady heights of rank 7 in this season through hard work, grinding out the tiers to get me a fubuki and benson and then halfway through this season you introduce the Yo Lang so all and sundry can buy it. Ive now dropped significantly because of this OP ship and nearly every battle ive been in has been seriously swamped with either Bensons or Yo Langs. Honestly it sounds like an exercise in masochism. Apart from the reasons that have been discussed to death already, 1 more problem with the 3rd season was that it started so soon after season 2. I got to rank 1 in season 2, and I gotta say I was preeeetty damn lucky (did it in 77 battles lol). But I didn't even have time to play with my mates, with the holidays and all that, and then season 3 started. No thanks... Do you really think it's the introduction of a new ship that is ruining your battles? Or is it something else (like 45% WR and 26k average damage in T6/7/8 ships in random)? Do you hope to play enough games to get a really long lucky streak of being carried to rank 1? I got to rank 12 and I went back to 13. I don't think I went down a rank even once in season 2, and it happened in the first few ranks in season 3 so... it was a new, unpleasant experience for me lol. Yes, it can have Hydro, but it's nothing special. #YOLOngs can only hurt Ranked, in my opinion, not by their OPness, but by the fact, every noob can now buy it and every noob can now play the T7 - T8 Ranked brackets in a DD and we all know, how important DDs are, so given a fact, you can get 2 people in #YOLOngs on your team, who never played a DD class before, that's just sad. I'd rather meet a (possible wallet warrior) Yo Lang than a Benson every single time. I have 25% more firepower and most likely a better captain. I'm completely non-plussed by Yo Langs, and saw them (made R1 shortly after their introduction) as easy prey. EDIT: I'd possibly fear a Yo Lang more than a Benson in a Fubuki, but if I'm cowering in smoke that close to a gunship, I'm probably screwed either way. I fully agree with this, and like to add: the only way a ship (that you are playing) affect how you perform in Ranked is how you play it. You can't play a Fubuki the same as Benson, or a Benson the same as a Tashkent or a Tashkent the same as Fubuki and so on and so forth. Play to your ship strength, have a fully upgraded ship (with upgrades!) and a high level captain. Then of course, you actually have to be, you know, good. You can deal tons of damage, even cap with a BB. Still....team is often just retarded as f*ck.... There are people with 400-800 games, 40-45% Winrate, 12-25k avg. (ranked only - no joke) tryharding all day long to get up. They just keep on failing, ruining the game mode completely. As long as such people are able to leech their way to R1 this game mode is simply broken. If they don't bind the winning of a star to the players performance, jeez, this was my last season... Say you enter your ships with priority 1. Your trusty DD, 2. Your so so CA 3. Your non elite BB. Whichever gets gainfully placed first is the one you play.
