Please note the Katori is not new. Used to be in the client prior to Open Beta, but was removed.

Smith isn't new either. She was a tier 2 like Tachibana just before closed beta. They were replaced by Umikaze and Sampson that were tier 3 and Waketake and Wickes were introduced.

So, the Anshan is a refurbished Gnevny and Lo Yang is a refurbished Benson. It's interesting that WG decided to include ships that were active in the Chinese navy in 1955 and '54 respectively. I guess they're trying to court the Chinese market? They went to the length of including ships that were actively sailing for their adoptive country well outside the World War era. Is this because China had no notable navy ships within the World War time frame, and WG are desperate to include newer Chinese ships? Or is there something I'm missing here? I'm merely speculating.

yeah, it's essentially a gun platform, but anything that can get inside that undetected can probably tear it a new one. At tier 3 the maps are pretty small, so will be difficult to keep people at arms length. Especially not if it gets into tier 4 games and meets myogis/phoenix with AFT

Based on stats alone; Anshan is just a tier 6 Gnevy - but with workable 8km torps at the loss of some speed (but 60 knot torps is still respectable for a tier 6 DD, especially a non-IJN one). Lo Yang is just a copy of the Benson, but doing the opposite of Anshan; shortening the range from 9.2km to 6km but increasing their speed considerably (68 knots vs Benson's 55 knots). The Smith? It's only a tier 2, so nothing really interesting to expect (Single torp launchers look kinda funky at least, a nice little quirk to it). Katori? Kinda reminds me of a tier 3 Yubari. But 18 knots for no armour is a killer, St Louis and Aurora would have a field day with this thing (does get a decent torp armament for tier 3 though, so I guess there's that).

 

Would I buy any of these? Well... I'm not a big DD player and when I do, I prefer the "stealth torp" play-style of the IJN's, so these Pan-Asia one's don't really appeal to me. It's gonna come down to the way they are sold really, a bundle-fest is not exactly wanted by the playerbase (Asia got 3 bundles, 1 being just the ship, plus a bonus 10 smoke screen premium consumables).

Smith can stealth fire out the box, like all premium destroyer gun boats. It's basically a Dresden equipped with a clocking shield and better shell velocity.

That's true, it can stealth fire (by about 400m) and can be improved with AFT and camo etc, but don't forget, they're only 76.2mm shells, they're not gonna do much damage, and their shell time is gonna be pretty bad at the stealth fire ranges. Not exactly 'amazing', but I can see the appeal in it. I may pick it up if it's on the cheap.

It is small patch. So those ships are Great bonus. If somebody does not like it Just iznose it. 

 

More different ships in game = more fun. 

 

And new t 6 And t 8 premium are here for other market. 

 

I bet Chines Also way "wtf" is Poland? CAN we eat that?
