Once the community has reached 10 million Pearls, the Admiralty will be able to restore Kamikaze and build 2,000 specimen that will be randomly distributed among participants of the event with at least 150 Pearls collected on their accounts.

 

now thats the american wording (excluding the numbers) as well and they expect it to end when the numbers are reached. Folk here have talked about it ending at 10m on the eu server

Look here at the buttom of the page; it is quite clear that the event ends on the 24th of February and not when the 10.000.000 pearls have been collected:

AFAIK it ends when 10.000.000 pearls are obtained by the community.Those dates are only the time frame to do it.Once 10.000.000 are reached the goal is achieved and within the allotted time frame.

I did a little "research" XD There are loads of comments on the matter but a WG Staff guy once said that the event will end as soon as we reach 10 million. When you re logged in the date is no longer displayed anywhere on the page. It should not matter if you re logged in or not. Thats just bad design.

I just opened the 500,000 credit crate.

I don't recall being awarded the 1,000,000 credits, no notification when I logged on.

So, first there was only the lotery, as WG intended to have only 2000 ot these rare ships around. After community cried, they raised up the goal for the most dedicated and constant players so more ships could be given. Now we probalby have at least 5k players with +260 pearls and another 2k will be given. But crying never stops now, because some think that all players are entitled to get the ship, extend time, extend pearls cound and so one. Please understand that not all are supposed to get the ship, this is a time frame event and only if you fulfill some basic requirements you will get it. One of these requirements is very simple. Join the event and play from the start. Cookie jar is not bottomless guys, and late comers will get nothing. You will still get the chance to win one in the lottery. And you won many flags and credits. Be gratefull for that and stop complaining. Your real life issues are your own and you can't make that a WG problem. If you went to France, Guatemala or skiing that's on you. You can't seriously expect this event to be extended for everyone.

Still around 700,000 pearls needed. Most will have gained their pearls for this week so maybe another 100k to be earned today, 125k on Friday and 200k on each of Saturday & Sunday when the weekend warriors log on - I still forecast it will be a close call as to whether we see another reset or not.

 

Would love to see the sh*t storm that will hit the forums on Monday when people are 1 or two short when it closes....but I'll be scuba diving in Gran Canaria

its already started on the us forums I'm told. the counter has stopped at 6m and no-one is adding pearls so the competition on the NA server is over.

Maybe, but it will be very close and considering the fact that the weekend is coming, it is possible we complete the 10 million milestone on sunday.

Last week between thursday evening and sunday evening we had around 770k pearls. If we grow at least as much as last week, we will be done before reset. And i expect more pearls this week-end, those that are close will try to farm as much as possible the general tasks. Chances to have another reset are very slim.

Dear worlok, yes .. you have made several relevant points. And I agree with a lot of them. But ... even if I have already collected 288 pearls so far ... I would like to say the following:

 

- Generally, Project R was / is a really good idea. Who has come with such idea, in my opinion - good job!   Clever idea how to make the WOWs community life interesting and exciting !!

- Communication about the Project R ... could be better, e.g. advertisement on the web page could be bigger or important goals & deadlines could be highlighted better. But ...

- Project R was the first event of this type, I think that even the author did not know exactly what would happen, how players would react, what would be the progress, etc. ... So, who knew that players could work against each other once finishing with collecting pearls ?  That who already collected 260 pearls would be real threat for others if he decides to continue to collect ?

- Yes, we all want to have all ships. But ... is it realistic ?  Ok, me .. I like to play DDs, and I like japanise DDs, so Kamikaze R is nice for me. But ... will I have enough time for next similar event ? I am not sure ... probably not. And if I play other on-line games, and they will have events too ... what to do ? Life could become crazy ... With high probability, I will be forced to reduce my expectations and desires. It wont be realistic simply to have everything.

 

Ok guys, I wish all of you to reach 260 pearls. If you are not lucky this time - to have luck soon or next time, especially with type of ship you play the most. But generally ... take it easy. After a lot of years playing games I can tell you: better ships will come in the future, better events will come, even better games will come in the future ... and we should have fun and joy, not to be slaves of our desires. There are more important things in life, and less is sometimes more.

Trust me, i don't think anyone tries to work against anyone. You cannot stop collecting pearls once you are signed up. This is the issue and i hope everyone realises that. And i don't think anyone expects that all above 260 pearls will stop playing so that more guys will get that chance. I played few games everyday and i collect them all. I could not have less pearls even if i wanted now. That's all.
