I have quite literally been citadelled in a Pensacola within 20 seconds of a match starting. There is at least one map where you can be detected the instant the match starts.

This happened yesterday, I couldn't effing believe it.

No offense, but that is entirely your fault. She can be seen from the Moon. As soon as you start moving either sail once circle and into the middle of your fleet or find some cover. Or best of all - use IFA skill and don't worry about random citadels any more.

Grind up the T5 talent if u dont want to be detected.

Still the most fun ship to play in T7 and u can grind money without premium account in it. It doesnt have the turret rotation problems of myoko, has supperb guns (altough u need to grind zthe mighty L55 AP monsters) and one of the best maneuverability  of all cruisers in game.

The turn radius , rudder shift time (with module) and turret rotation time makes this ship one of the most fun ships to play. With the latest patch even the turrets now can take some beating and dont get knocked out so fast.

I know all that, thanks :) The rant is primarily because exactly the fact that you have to have the T5 skill in order to get to the level of te Myoko in terms of detection. If you think about it, many people will not have the T5 skill by the time they get to the Pepsi and will only remember the bad part about the ship.

Great, great point! IMHO this is one of the points that should be always be kept in mind when the subject of the Tier 5 "Concealment Expert" skill comes up. Sure, it's a great skill - vital for some ships even - but so difficult to get for the casual player.

For example, my Pensacola captain has 11 skill points and has 62,564 out of the 74,000 XP that he needs for his 12th skill point.  In total, he actually needs another 428,436 XP to get to the magic 15 skill points.

My average XP per battle is 983 (official WG figures). Even if I can boost this with Premium/Flags/Win bonus to about 1600 XP then this still represents a lot of battles to be grinded. (428,436 XP divided by 1600 XP = 267.8 battles.)

Well, yes. T5 CE is most often found on T9-X ships and on hardcore grinder cpt's that are being carried from ship-to-ship with gold retraining. My cpt would reach CE if I bought a NO now and ground him over to the end of B-more. Thank the gods the Indianapolis is here, which going to make it much easier for me to hardcore-grind the CE skill out of the cpt.
