Is it just me with a BB ...

When I'm happily sailing my BB's and stumble upon a cruiser in close range and I pretty much one shot him. The cruiser captain starts to complain that I'm using cheat's etc. For the record I use mod pack from aslain with a mod to the scope and some other gfx mods. Most of the time the cruisers give me their broadside and you all know what that means. But some times I get citadels even from straight front. So is it just me who gets crap in the in game chat when this happens or are there more BB players there who get the same treatment?

I sometimes get called a hacker and cheater when a BB sails straight into my torpedo spread.

Unless you are actually cheating, getting called out means you are probably doing something right.

some captains simply cant accept that they sunk due to an error on their part or were simply outplayed.... its always someone elses fault or a cheat.... bless them....

Ignore it. You cant really "cheat" in this game anyways so they don't understand the available cheats to call you one. The best cheat you could have is a target predictor and if you know how to aim then it does not really give you any advantage at all anyways.

We know how long our shells take to reach target because we have an indicator and we can see the direction of travel of the target ship and we also have nice little numbers on the aiming reticule that you can line up so as I said if you know how to use that information then you know how to aim quite accurately. All the "cheats" do is put a little blob on the position you were going to anyways using the information available to you already.

Aimbots only work in games where the time to target is pretty much instant which in this game it is not. There is nothing stopping the captain of the target ship changing direction when he sees your gun smoke or slowing down and no cheat can predict that unknown action.

So anyways ignore them and don't even comment back in chat.

Yeah I know how to aim. Was rather decent in maths and physics back in my school days. Now when I think of it. They did make big mistakes, like sailing straight line and getting too close to me.

Thanks for advises all. Good to know that I'm not the only one :D

It's not just you. I've been accused of cheating - most recently one shotting a Karlsruhe with imperator Nikolai at long range.

Then again I suppose the imperator might be considered cheating :D

Inseminator Sealclubber is the biggest cheat in gaming history.

Lol. I can't work out quite why from her port numbers, but I got dragged into a tier 6 game and led the charge. Sank plenty of clevelands and made fusos run away :D

Never had anyone say anything, when I've blown them apart with my BBs? As for the mods you use, well if you need um, u need um. I just have the plain, downloaded game ...

The problem is that THIS exists and is damaging to the game.

It's hard to distinguish between an experienced and good player and a cheater.

Yup, happens a lot.

Funny thing is that you do not hear a complain when they burn you to death.

Are there still BB captains that believe they can burn to death?

Well, I somehow managed to dish out around 60k fire damage to a Yamato in my Mogami, so it seems that some battleship captains still don't know how to manage fires :hmm:.

First off, Im against any kind of modification of this game, so alot of people are gonna feel pissed when I say this.

Cheats are always gonna be in this game cause alot of people use cheats in this game that they dont consider cheats. For instance icons with max rng of cannons and torps. not considered a cheat and mostly justified with "well I already know max rng bla bla bla what does it hurt if I have a helpful reminder", well it is still a cheat sheet no matter how you spin it, same cheat that people use in WOT. People used all kinds of mods that "help" them with stuff, like spoting distance on tank icons, type of incoming shell, flight time / angle in sights, etc etc I remember when artillery actually had to calculate flight time of shells without any help way back?, but I was put in a mod, mod become popular cause people are lazy, some called it a cheat some didn't and it eventually just ended up in-game just to drown it out. same goes with all kinds of sights that are in-game via mods, shell colour mods, etc etc they are providing players with "help" that is not provided from the begining but they dont consider it a cheat cause, well anyone can do it and the game developer hasn't said that we are not allowed to do it. most people will ignore that it is a cheat and just call it information that they already know or helpful reminders, and enything but a cheat. But here is the thing, most people dont remember that much information, there few people in the world that can actually retain the exact gun range and torpedo distance of all the ships in WoWS and we still haven't that many ships in WoWS, but yet alot of people are gonna say im full of it and they can remember all the ships torp ranges by heart, good for them, now uninstall that mod pack and see if that really is true, cause im calling you a liar.

But what it basicly it boils down to in the end is "there is no sign so I must be allowed to do this.", and since Wargaming let it slide with WoT to begin with cheats/wanted something "different"/reminders/not a cheat just makes it easier to play will always be in-game their games.

Even without mods in the game, people will still call other people cheaters cause they dont understand all game mechanics to it's fullest. I dont always understand the game mechanics of this game.

It is impossible when you got 1-2 fast firing cruisers shooting at you to "manage fires"

Just yesterday I was in a BB and received 7 fires in 4 salvos (2 by 2 cruisers). Of course I repaired from the first 3 and then just as the repair finished I got 4 fires suddenly. It is impossible to manage that since the repair party has 80 sec cooldown. That is why I always focus a new BB after I have set one on fire (and know he doesn't have repairs).

Nah, its just a legend, old myth.

Not really. Noobs will be noobs no matter if they will get the +2% to accuracy.

Every single time my battleship burn, i check the captain. No, he's still there, unburned.

Must have been the same 'during the war' when the German ship captains discovered that the British captains had a book of ship silhouettes to help identify the enemy battleships because they couldn't remember them all without help. :amazed:

So WG, ban all mods and let people with the best memory be the top players.

Also visit every house to make sure that players haven't prepared a poster on the wall behind their PC with all relative info.

ps -WG could you also ban autistic players too, they are using human cheat mods. :hiding:

I have no trouble managing fires (I die more often to fires in my cruisers than in my battleships by the way). If you do get targeted by two cruisers (and you are alone) you shouldn't really be expected to survive if those two cruisers have the same level of skill as yourself. In any case, you turn your ship around, use healing (after having repaired the 1+ fires) and focus on one of them until the situation is 1 vs. 1. Alternatively, fall back to the rest of the fleet.

Oh, and if the ships you are referring to is the Cleveland, you do have a point, but it's not like that cruiser is representative of the entire class.

Lastly, I could turn this entire thing around and say that it is impossible to dodge battleship shells when you have two battleships firing at you. Would you still say that the situation is "unfair/unbalanced"?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that said Yamato camped in the back until he was forced to push when all the other ships around him had been taken care of (or forced to retreat) by another cruiser, a destroyer and myself.

Welcome to the CV world, where everyone insults and flames you if you bomb them (doesn't matter that they are alone and fail to dodge in time) but if you oneshot a CA... oh wait, you also get flamed. Guess this is justice in some way?

Any mod that gives any player more information on the fly than what basegame provides for everyone else playing the basegame is in my eyes cheating. we have silhouettes ingame already there is nothing wrong with them to begin with but someone just figured out it would be easier for them if they added extra info on them, like torp range, camo range, gun range makeing it easier for them by giving them an advantage, I could understand someone that might suffer from colorblindness, haven't seen if Wargaming actually have an option for people suffering from that, then again haven't looked for it.

Luckly memory isn't everything in this game, that is why most Wargaming e-sports events aren't just a gathering for autistic people.

All readily available info that you could write on a few post-it notes and stick to the side of your screen if there were no info mods.

Well, the problem might be the fact that everyone sees CVs as the arty of WoT. I can understand why, but they definitely aren't the arty of WoWs :P

It was vs 2 Murmansks actually, and I was in my Warspite so I did not have enough time to run away actually, even though I had 2 teammate CAs around me, they weren't really helpful, which kinda happens a lot (unless I'm in a division).

I agree about dodging shells, but that wasn't my point.

All I was trying to say is that I'd rather die by a dev strike from a BB in a CA, than burn to death for 30 seconds :)
