Sometimes I think that it is amusing that this bug isn't fixed. It occurs since i start playing the game and today was the best day of my life while playing this game...

The game crashed 9 times between 21:40 and 22:40...

What happend?
Well... i played with my friends.. loaded the first map.. nothing happend. We lost it actually and the evening went along but then it started to make extreme fun! /s

I tried to load the next match... Client crash in this battleoverview screen... Restarted the game and everything worked again EXCEPT the engine sounds. Thought okay hopefully it will ocur just one time and then it occured again...So basically to get into the game it was like:

  • Friend pressed battle
  • Battle was found
  • I load it the first time
  • crash
  • Load it the second time
  • i'm ingame without engine sounds

And suddenly: I couldn't even join the battle anymore. I tried for over 8 minutes to load the map. Evcerytime i got the same crash error. I restarted my PC and it didn't work either. I got finally into the game and it crashed after ~30secs or so when i started moving forward. (was still not dead...)...

I can't give you a screenshot of the error message because it was never visible. Just heard the error sound and saw it in the taskbar and taskmanager that there was a critical error but i coudln't bring it to the front. So i can't provide a screenshot.

But i went into the crash folder from WoWs and it always looked the same. Except sometimes more used bytes sometimes a little bit less. But basically always the same error:

reason = E_OUTOFMEMORY(0x8007000e)

Does anyone know a way to fix this? It's frustrating that i just can't play this game without any errors. (unmodified client btw)

System Specs:

OS: Win10

CPU: i7 3770 @ 3.4GHz

RAM: 12 GB

GPU: nVidia GTX 680 2GB

So now i have nearly 9 identical error messages in my crash folder. Made a lot of fun today!

Are you running with mods? Are you running with skins in particular? Do you get the bug without those?

Also -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/35743-how-to-report-a-bug/

Helps if we get dxdiag and game log perhaps ( but first questions are most important ).

edit: reason I ask is because it looks like your gpu is running out of addressable memory and if this isn't caused by mods it could be very old drivers or something like that, but I'm suspecting you're running quite a lot of ship skins?

ist it just a copy paste answer? because it looks a lot like it tbh...

I assume that you didn't read my text carefully enough...

I already mentioned that i run the game in an unmodified variant.

game logs... i can't provde more then the error message...

Regarding addressable memory: in all logs there is always space left in the memory... so i can't imagine that this is the problem here...

EDIT:

DxDiag included

Edit 2: found the phyton log now too...

DxDiag.txt

python.log

I keep getting this kind of "out of memory" critical error once every 5-6 hrs gametime or so.

Support was very friendly, and helpful, so you might want to try them. I'm sure they can help you.

Use your smartphone to take a picture of the error if you cant screenshot it.

I cba to update my graphics driver and do all the crap that support demands to fix the problem, so I still get errors :teethhappy:

Basically since other games run fine on old drivers, I assume it is a WoWs problem.

Game is full of bugs anyway.

Aircraft squads getting stuck for no reason, ships getting stuck on islands if they slam sideways into them, just to mention a few. If the Devs can't be bothered to errorproof their game better and admit it is still beta-stage reliability, I can't be bothered to help them fix it.

I wish i could do it... but i don't think that they can read something from a black screen.

Basically i hear that an error occured but i can't see it because the game is always "over" this message. Which means i only see a black screen. Nothing more.. so also a photo from my mobile phone would do nothing...

Also going over the taskmanager doesn't help. It's impossible to bring it to the front of the crashed game.

Somehow I didn't see that ( unmodified client ) in your original post. Sorry that it seemed copy pasta, it wasn't.

Your python.log is full of errors loading a collision model, I also see a lot of missing font related messages. I had the latter as well after last patch and I couldn't get my client fully stable ( with or without mods ) and I did a fresh install. That removed all those missing font references for me ( I had issues being stuck in loading screen ).

I know it is a lot of work but I would recommend a reinstall to see if that helps.

As to a driver issue, your driver is this one according to dxdiag -> DriverVer = 10/02/2015, 10.18.13.5850

That is a bit old and a driver update is usually a quick thing to check before doing a fresh install?

I have been getting the same issue although not as frequently as you seem to be.

Game crashes and I have to re start my pc as alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del just give me a black screen to stare at.

I have more than enough memory etc and does not happen when playing anything else including far more demanding games.

All drivers are also up to date so I am at a complete loss.

Had thought it was to do with windows 10 updates. As the first few times it happened on re start windows updated.

when i learned one thing from updating drivers it is definetly that never update it.. make always a fresh install... and thats definetly more work then just reinstalling the game..

it's just that this error is there since i stated playing the game. Can't be that the client was always unstable...

At work right now might look into it 2moz although not really bothered.

So many factors making me lose the will to play wows at the mo anyway.

For me last update corrupted some of my game files so I got all those errors, clean install and they were gone. That might not help you, it could always be a number of sources. As to not updating because you don't trust the updater but always do 'clean' installs, well to each his/her own :honoring:

i already had to make clean installs of graphic card drivers because they were bugged as hell after an update... and that happend not only on my machine.. also a good freind of mine had problems with his driver... problems that never happened again after the clean install...

You really need to update your drivers, not just reinstall an old version (which is what I got from your post). Your graphic drivers are nearly a year out of date. Once you have done that, like mtm87 states, if you still experience issues you should do a clean install of wows. Missing/corrupt files is normally a game issue.

If whole PC/OS crashes that's sign of lot bigger problem than what could be in game...

Doesn't even Ctrl+Shift+Esc work?

Then again wouldn't wonder if MS removed even that since starting to make Windows for toyphones instead of PC.

If graphics card is old like GTX680 and there are no graphical issues in games you definitely don't want to keep updating drivers.

Nvidia doesn't give s**t about older card owners and probably doesn't even really test newest drivers on them and they can as easily just cause lot more problems than help in anything.

Basically it goes like this: If it works keep fixing until it breaks.

(besides having done some actually card burning capable driver updates)

Microsoft has history of OS updates breaking things and once in a while even totally jamming whole OS.

So unless wanting to be alpha tester you should always wait at least few days checking web until trusting Windows updates to do more good than bad.

There should pre-update restore point so if problem surfaced after update system restore should be first thing to try for bracketing cause of the problem.

Open a ticket in WOW web, they tell you how to download WGCheck_EN.zip. Run it and send back to WG. Be sure no mods installed, because if mods detected they blame the mods, when not always are the mods the problem.

So instead use drivers that aren't optimised with newer games

This advise is bad. Generally what you want to do is postponing updating by a month and see what the general consensus is on the forums. There isn't typically any problems whatsoever unless there are major tweaks to the drivers (which is rare) and when it does cause problems, it's depended on the  architecture (fermi, maxwell ect ect) your GPU is built on.

Unless you have something a 9800GT, newer drivers are something you should consider. Worst case, you'll have to rollback to the previous driver.

An Update with geforce experience can make things worse. Thats the reason why i make "clean" graphic driver installs. Which means: Download the latest one. Go into the safe mode, delete the current one and after a restart install the latest one. I want only the latest data for the drivers... because sometimes old ones are just making things worse... a reason why maybe some poeple think that an update just makes things worse...

And since i don't have one of the "latest" games i didn't thought that i would need a new driver which is, as you said before, optimised for the latest games...

i have some nasty crashes too, sometimes even 3 times in a row... (imagine the frustration playing at tier 10 or ranked)

The computer freezez entirely, there is a nasty buzz like when you connec directly two cables of a speaker, mouse don't move, can't go back to windows, must do a hard reset...

And it is the only game progrma doing this, and i don't have anything in my python.log, it just cuts at the crash.

Did you check your logs for error messages about collision models and/or missing fonts?

1. Don't install Geforce Experience, only the driver + physics (as long as you can get these separated). You can just click the "clean install" option in the driver setup.

2. Make sure your system is not overclocked (either CPU or GPU).

3. No mods (I know you don't run any).

4. Reinstall the client.

If you still have problems after that, contact support. Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Even clean install often does not fix a corrupted driver, it just makes sure your specific user settings are disregarded and default values applied. But, it doesn't seem to be any driver issues in the recent crash reports since afaik all instances were solved with installing the client again ( which points towards last patch resulting in quite a lot of corrupted clients ).

This sounds alot like what we in the ye olde times would call a "memory leak".

It is normally caused by something being broken and everytime it "breaks" (displays the broken item, or performs the broken action) it causes some memory to be taken up with writeing a log, or recovering some data.(there is prob a MUCH more technical explanation for memory leaks, but i am lazy and it would take time to google).

Now in your python log it claims that the client fails to load various models, this could be because the models are broken somehow, or your anti virus software is inhibited the use of the files, or the HD has a bad sector. there is alos a million other reasons, bad driver files, corrupted files in the client etc etc etc.

BUT the crux of the matter here is that when that error occurs it fills your RAM with junk, so the error that eventually kill the client is that it runs out of space to put the junk and goes "screw you guys, i am going home".

So what you need to look for is reasons why

[E] [2016_01_05 22:37:41] CollisionModel::load: Error loading collision model content/gameplay/japan/ship/aircarrier/JSA032_Ryujo_1944/JSA032_Ryujo_1944_MidFront!

Appears.

So you could go and have a look at that file and see if there is something fishy with that, if the anti virus for instance have put it in quarantine.

I agree, but it makes your case to support flawless :). In a worst case scenario it's not even software related, graphic cards get a lot of heat and will die eventually.
