So over the Holidays I went to work on it. I am here to ask the community for feedback and to search their player name (no site account needed). Once a name is searched, It is then stored for automatic updates. Until then, It is not included in the rankings. Ranked LeaderBoards (1) Filter by Season, Server, Ship or Ranking. (2) search a player name to add/update the player. Red search box, top right and click red magnifying glass or hit enter. (3) search will highlight the row with the searched name (may not be on 1st page). Will also show current position of searched player on top right for the selected filters. (4) Rank sort is displayed at bottom of page for the selected ranking. (5) Min Battles: Ranked by Win Rate (20 battles) Ranked by anything but Win Rate for all Ships together (5 battles) Ranked by anything but Win Rate for a Single Ship (1 battle) (6) Currently only available to NA & EU. Will be adding RU & Asia in near future. (7) Player detail page with Most Played Ships & 2nd Player Compare Mass auto-update happens every 4 hours currently. Searching a player name forces an update for that player. But no more than once every 10 minutes for that player name. How would you Rank It? Looking for a consensus. This tool is for you all. This is a New System that needs player names searched. API does not have a mass player name dump. So to be in the rankings, your player name has to be searched. Looking for feedback and/or suggestions please. I don't think that there are only ~40 player who reached high ranks. May that show only those player, who got searched in this tool? As for the site, I like it. And not only because I, at the time of writing, had the third highest win/loss ratio of the rank 1 players, *snort* *snort*. But just once, it will auto update from then on. If you search a name again, It will check for new data for that player as a manual push instead if you don't want to wait for auto update Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I know the trend now is less/no graphics so everything looks like WordPress. But to me, that looks like crap. I am looking more for feedback on bugs, rank sorts, and general functionality. Vivid or predominant colors create confusion for the eye, and the small text does the same. But that's probably not important right now. I know myself (by personal experience) how developers are susceptible to other points of view On a more important note, talking about 'general functionality' and 'usability': when searching for a player, it would be nice to not only see the 'position', but to get 'transported' to the proper page that displays that user. I expected the ranking order to be handled by the 'TH' elements (in your case, the '.fields-hdr-row') to alter the ranks instead of using the form field. took a while to understand the way it works. the 'filters' (Players, Season and Ranked By) could probably work directly 'on click', instead of needing the further 'apply' click. a 'cursor:pointer;' could help out to clarify how it works Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Please note that it take 60 stars for EU to get to #1 & only 48 stars for NA to get #1 due to population size. Leader Board for Rank are different between Global & Region. I think it would be very interesting to see which ships are preferred by the top ranked players (rank 5 to rank 1 bracket) and which winrate these ships have. This would probably be the most objective statistic of which ships are the strongest in ranked gameplay. If it's possible and not too much work, could you please post a statistic like this: ship class - ship name - total number of matches played - win percentage (total wins / total losses; not the average of the players' winrates) At the moment the sample size is quite low, especially on the EU server (only 25 players are at rank 5), however this sample size will grow steadily.
