Babykim Beta Tester 1,649 posts 6,477 battles Report post #1 Posted January 3, 2016 A rumor sprang from the Russian New Year developers stream about a new premium tier 8 destroyer coming out towards the end of january (31 has been mentioned as the date). The interesting bit is that it will be from a nation currently not represented in the game. Since WG likes existing historical ships (because of the availability of technical drawings, pictures etc), my guess the Canadian HMCS Haida of the Tribal class. Doing the Tribal class would make sense because of the synergy with the future Royal Navy tree. I forgot about that "only exclusive one time opportunity 50€ bundle" for a damn T6 premium ship. One of the big French contre-torpilleurs would fit. Possible Italian ships, a Navigatori maybe. Anyway, being a tier 8 will be a 50-60€ bundle, so really doesn't matter too much. The Royal Dutch Navy was barely present in the second world war. We had a few old gunboats, armored ships and the newest Destroyers were from 1930. Oh! and a few diving boats. Large and powerful destroyers from the late 1930's.Fantasque: 45kn, 5x 5.4" guns, 9x 21.7" Torpedoes (3x triple launcher) Mogador: 39kn, 4x twin 5.4" guns, 10x 21.7" Torpedoes (2x double, 2x triple launcher) IJN/Germany/US are still missing a crewtrainer at mid Tir on par to murmansk. If WG EU would just allow the Marblehead to be sold here, and not hold it back as a "reward/contest ship", it sure would help. One ship (Z-51) was built and launched, but was destroyed by Allied bombing while fitting out, and scrapped later on. The 1942-series were designed as a testbed for (2-stroke) diesel propulsion. DKM Z-51: 36kn, 4x 127mm SK C/34 main guns, 4x2 37mm FLAK & 3x4 20mm FLAK guns, 2x3 (centerline) 53cm torpedoes. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Add on the new year.... and my bet is the Chinese Gnevny destroyer they did a video on. It may be the same as the Russian Gnevny (it did have a refit in china though) but it will fall nicely with thousands of Chinese players.... That equals tonnes of money !
