Hi all,

Me and a few friends of mine are currently using and testing a program which gives you the possibility to give voice commands to your ship (commander) like right, left , fire, ap, he etc.

It works so nice i thought i should share it with you all not sure if i can post it, but it's great if you get it to work.

Since my friend and i use this it adds a completly different twist to this great game.

You can add 1400 or so commands it works also on normal things like "open excel or open wordpad", you should try it out :)

Guess i'm not allowed to post a link so pm me if you want a link

Gl and hf.

since I almost exclusively play in a division with friends these days and this would confuse the hell out of them via Teamspeak, I'll pass on it, but the idea itself sounds nice - I'd be curious as to Wargaming's stance on something as drastic as this though!

All voice attack does is let you speak a command instead of hitting a key, so it would be just fine!

I'm one of them, right Gice? Hahaha. Works real nice. I also have a voice pack included, meaning that if you say like "Hard left" or "Repair" that it will execute the belonging command and gives an answer like: "Aknowledged" or "Yes sir".

Real amazing program to use with World of Warships. (I have entered ALL commands with voice so now that I only have to use my mouse to fire and aim... For the rest, just talk to your ship...)

Have fun, see y'guys ingame!!!

We had this discussion before on this forum and it didn't take long for someone making an 'evasive manouver' command which alternated between QQ and EE at set intervals. Which would fall under automation, since it automates user actions.

Single voice commands to single key strokes does not.

Is that how I should interpret this?

The only thing that I'm using are commands like Hard Left (QQ) and Max Power (WWWWW) like so. Not any automated commands. Never thought about it that it would be possible as well.

No, really it's just replacing a key with a voice command you have to set in the voice attack program, like the one button is he two button is ap etc.

My friend tested it next to me and ate some nice diner and myself was hitting buttons on keyboard like an manic it works so nice :)

Yeah I am not 100% sure on where the line is either, I did not have a WWWW but just W for faster since saying faster four times would be just as quick in acceleration ( I think voice commands are only really immersive in battleships, in other ships you're better of using your fingers since it is quicker ). That is why I asked. I stopped using it anyway, I get better results playing with the kb+mouse :honoring:

That would be naughty! :)

Honestly, I don't think using voice commands will improve anyone's game play, just the immersion when your ship suddenly starts answering!

VA is awesome for some types of games, I first used it for elite dangerous and it's well suited for  that.  On the other hand I set up a profile and tried it with wows but then realised its totally pointless as there are hardly any controls in the game and also the pace of the game is so slow.

About 15 years ago Microsoft had a headset, iirc Sidewinder, which had a similar software. I think it even had an extra button to open that voice to macro channel. I used it for playing Mechwarrior 4, especially commanding your lance bots. ("One - Follow. Two - Attack. Three - Attack. Execute!")

+1 mr Conway would  be nice to have it as an option indeed :)

Just hearing your ship saying "are you sure' after saying "kill target"is real nice ;)

Voice attack, not something I would use....And certainly not something I would pay for either!

Speaking to my computer and it anwsers back for only 20 euro in total , doesn't sounds to much for me.

Like i said you can you it for multiple games, it's not just for one game and if you get it then a whole new world of playing games seems to open :)

Like it or not, but controlilng my computer with only my voice and killing bunch of ships in the meanwhile is.and still will be my favorite way to kill ships in this game, just saying to your ship fire is awesome .

Computers that talk back to you is not just a normal thing these days, certainly not for 20 euro or so ( you have to implement all words into the computer so she/he hears you )

Tirpitz will cost you 60 euro or so, sounds like not a bad deal to me :)

Btw: Now it seems that i want to highlight a site or something, certainly not the case here, just wanted to inform you all ;)

Sry for bad english.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check this out. Seems to be very useful for lots of games I play.

It really is excellent for some games, especially if there are a ton of controls.

Mind you if it's 20 euros it's gone up a bit since I bought it about 18 months ago, think it was £4 back then!  For the right game 20euros would still be well worth it though IMO.
