Seriously , if it wasnt for the fact you have a hard to hit citadel, you would be easier to kill than the Fuso players.... Who also seem to think they need to full broadside to shoot.

Points to note:

  • Most of you broadside constantly (by all means continue)
  • Many of you never help the team (thats because many of you arent ready for T7/8
  • You clog the game ( 4/5 tirpitz in a team regularly... come on now !)

Basically Tirpitz is now like a rodent, an annoyance that seems to multiply and ruin everything.

At T7/8 a degree of skill is required, that of which a new player that has just bought a T8 ship will not have.... It ruins gameplay WG !

I know i will get hate from this but, the truth sadly hurts. Whats your thoughts ?

WG has been doing this since the dawn of World of Tanks. Its part of their bussiness model so there isnt a shred of hope the situation will change. So you will have noobs and hopeless players in regular ships, and you will have noobs and hopeless players in premium ships.

Ah the Derpitz. Seen a few good players with them but only a few. Pretty much the vast majority haven't got the foggiest idea on how to play a BB, let alone a T8 one. Been really tough to take them out such is its survivability and the lack of fire-power against it with my T6 ships. If it wasnt for its super toughness they would be ripe XP pinata's.

yep, a fuso broadsides and its like "thankyou, like really 20k damage i want from you now" Tirpitz is just plain annoying because it defends bad play with a super small citadel.....

the amount of players in regular Tier 8 ships like Iowa, and Amagi's who are just as bad if not worse then the people your talking about here is amazing. Just cause you grinded your way to T8+ does not mean you have skill. Ive lost many games due to crappy high end players.

so its not just tripitz drivers, its everyone else also.

I like them. Brings easy credits and XP for the better players and it somewhat improves BB gameplay. You maybe can't really citadel them, but you will easily hit 10-20k penetration salvos. Plus it stops this annoying sniping game as most rush forward and you actually get to enjoy the tight spread below 12km for a change.

Sure there plenty of "bad" skippers in every tier and class. Derpitz its just extremely noticeable as its the FotM.

I drive Colorado and obvious mistakes are not reserved for Tirpitz captains only, i seen other BBs also do strange things and take strange routes that get them killed fast in the battle. There are many Tirpitz owners who are already experienced BBs captains in high tiers, some even at tier 10 but they still bought and own Tirpitz. So why did those experienced BB captains buy Tirpitz when they already have tier 9 and 10 BBs. They bought it because it is great ships and fun to use, because they have money and they are not cheap to buy something for themselves if they want it.

 Whats your thoughts ?

My thoughts is that it is the umpteenth thread about the same thing, additionally you have no chance at all to change it.

Also, players on every ship suck balls hard, Tirpitz is only noticeable because it is premium so it creates "P2W" warnings, as you can see, completely unfounded.

And you should be actually happy that there are so many Tirpitz, Atago, Kutuzov (well, that last one don't have many actually) players, as can you imagine how empty and deserted the 8+ tiers would be without them?

PS. Ship actually have great impact on players. You should see all those Izumo captains - ok and even good players thrown into that nightmare suddenly start do do really crappy, because weak, soft and expensive to repair tub forces them to play like noobs in order to survive.

Why you blame? 69300HP or more with repair crew easy to earn, if is in your team use him as punching ball, let him take all the hits and you do your job.

People must learn the hard way, and tirpitz is ideal to learn how to get hitted.

I have 1.7M XP to convert I colud have tier X now, but I must learn a lot before go there, let the noobs go high tiers untrained more free HP for all.

That you are mistaken.

Bad players are bad players with any ship in game. Sure, they can buy the premium BB and get to those tiers early. But they usually play A LOT of games and will get there soon enough regardless without learning anything. So instead of a Tirpitz that knows nothing about how to play you will get a Mogami, or a North Carolina or an Amagi for example.

Was playing Ibuki yesterday and we met an enemy Izumo division which thought they would push a flank.. not going to happen with my division there, we burned them and burned them and burned them and our BB's were engaging.

The Izumo's both started to reverse for I think 10 minutes before dying, and we we're like: is he really going backwards all the time... really?

One in my division later said they were 60% + wr player(s? not sure, one was at least ).

Izumo just can't show side's, and when you're running away you lose too much firepower. Just to illustrate, good players in bad ships are not suddenly making them into good ships, they usually can just hide the weaknesses better than 'lesser' players.

Well, since they are coming from the Cleveland where that isn't THAT big of a deal to do it's not surprising.

On the flip side, I haven't really seen that many bad Tirpitz drivers. Might be that I don't pay that much attention to them. They generally manage to push with the Cruisers and Destroyers thus supporting them. I don't really care if its intentional or unintentional. But if a BB pushes forward then the enemy has something to shoot and take the damage the rest of us can't take. If they leave him alone they still get severely damaged by the damage it can dish out.

And for a ship (Battleship even!) with torpedoes I can't say I've ever been torped by a friendly Tirpitz that's shooting torps at ships outside of torp range. I can't say the same thing for Phoenixes, Omahas, Kumas or even Aobas.

That said, a mate of mine really wanted to get the Atago. He was only at the Furutaka at the time. I convinced him not to get the Atago until he was at least to the Japanese tier 7 ship so he wasn't a floating xp pinata. He listened and he adjusted his gameplay a lot between the Furutaka and Myoko. And he managed to become quite a reasonable Atago commander. I wish everyone had the same sentiment and don't jump to tier 8 from tier 4 or 5.

Reversing is not necessarily a bad thing to do to retreat in a BB with weak side armor, better then showing your side. Now to retreat from cruisers in that manner is silly.

In order to get beter you have to play alot before you understand what and how to play a ship, i'm not even near a good player, but i'm trying and pratacing alot and hope to be a beter captain in the proces.

Took me ages to understand tirpitz and now i have north carolina unlocked guess how i'm doing in that stock thing.. very very bad i just can't shoot anything in it :), i even have to use other ships for the repairbill.

So only thing i can do is try my best, but i still suck before i get a beter captain on that ship ( hopefully i'll understand it in 30 games ;).

Btw sorry for my english it's not my native language

Hf and gl all :)

The fact you are already here, try to speak english (and you are not doing too bad at that), try to improve how to play is already a big big big +1 from me to you, and a thank you. That's how players should be :)

Yes, exactly that. Continuing the Izumo example, this ship gets citadelled in the prow (from side though). Like 20 meters from the tip of the prow, hit with 406mm and boom, citadel. No wonder they are on reverse all the time, showing side is suicide.

Anyways, that works the other way too. If i had to get bad player in Tirpitz i would prefer that to getting bad player in Amagi, because in Tirpitz he will contribute more. I too learned to play heavy tank in Lowe once :)

I'm really afraid of Torpizes... You sail happily along in your cruiser and suddenly the torpedo alert goes off mere seconds before you go out in a loud bang. You look around, no DD possibly in range to launch those. You look behind you and there you see the reason. Torpitz decided to launch torps at a BB 20 km away... :amazed:

As long as I see Amagi and NC-captains driving broadside most of the time, I don't think that it will change with Tirpitz. But I like it, so I can score bigger hits with my Nagato :)
