Deactivating Arpeggio of Blue Steel (Ars Nova)-content completely

Hello,

 

 

today I noticed some anime graphics at the mission overview ingame.

 

I dislike this.

I assume this has something to do with the recent patch that introduced "Arpeggio of Blue Steel (Ars Nova)"-content into the game.

The patch notes mentioned that it was possible to completely disable that content.

 

Well, I would like to completely disable this. How is it that done? Please give a guidance. Thank you!

Yeah also shows in the top left corner when in port, can't see anything in settings to disable it, how do we get rid of this crap?

You cant. Its a challenge event. The content they talked about was the port, and the ships. Not the challenges.

These challenges can unlock:

- Credits

- Numerous flags

- Numerous consumable camo's

- Tier 5 premium Kongo (+ port slot and FCS mod1)

- Tier 7 premium Myoko (+ port slot and FCS mod1)

EDIT: Its not sure at the time of writing if these ships will have all normal premium ship perks

Because of the generous timeframe (untill 29th February) many of these missions can be completed while playing as normal. This coming from Wargaming, which will usually charge you anywhere between 20 to 60 euros for a premium bundle containing a ship, I think these missions are very generous of them. So I can only try to imagine the horror of a mission thumbnail not being appealing to you guys. Im sure it must be terrible.

I wanted to ask something about the Kongo and Myoko. Sine they are premium ships, do they also get increased exp and credits? Is the ARP Kongo a better credit grinder than the normal, for example?

And as a grown man you must have gained the ability to sit back and not give a damn? I see no reason to get annoyed at a picture you can turn off and ignore.

I think so, yes. Here is some gameplay witha youtuber playing a 50k damage game in the Kongo ARP, earning over 300k creds. (Skip to end for battle results) Also, you can clearly see the icons of the ships in port with a premium ship badge.

Dont give a crapabout this guy, he is bassicaly a DD user, thats why he thinks that this is useless. He almost dont use any cruiser or Battleship.

Thanks! First I was like "meh". Then I thought I'd do the missions for the credits/xp/flags. Now, I realise how big of a fool I would have been had I not taken notice . And I sold myoko recently, as well as kongo to buy benson, so this is perfect.

While I'm happy to play these missions, it was announced that the content would be completely disabled unless you chose the anime port. I expected the missions to only show up when you chose the anime port, so having them show up regardless of port will probably annoy the people that were dead set against it.

We learn to ignore things that we don't care about/slightly irritate us in our day-to-day lives. How have you managed so far? Just do the first 2 stages, enjoy the goodies, that's it.

It's just not my thing, so I don't watch anime and I don't play anime themed games (for example I like the combat system in blade n soul for an MMO but unfortunately the look of the game is trash so I probably won't play it again).  Here it's in my face every time I goto my port, they said it was optional but that's clearly bollocks.

Doesnt matter as the whole point of posting it is to show only the battle results and the premium badge on the ships in port. There are plenty Kongo gameplay and reviews out there, though.

Not arsed about the mission screen as I rarely look at it, it's the cartoon girl in the corner of the port screen that sticks out, it looks completely out of place.  It isn't a bit deal and it's far from being the only problem with the game - if only - but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be mentioned, especially when they stated the whole nonsense was optional.

There is a way to 100% disable it, you click "ESC" and then hit the "Exit game" problem solved 

But honestly i dont really see the problem, i mean i could understand if people would be mad because they could not turn off the ships ingame, but this well yea i would just ignore it
