How do you define a noob? Would you use win rate or average XP gained in Random battles? Surely the point is that less accomplished players tend to learn from the better ones? I make a point of always staying in a battle if killed and look to see how the better players manage their ships. Looking at my stats, I am improving (though not today!!!)

I would still consider myself distinctly average though!

I guess each of us has his own parameters to define a noob. I personally define a noob a player who has just stated in another thread that while firing he tunnelvisions so much that he can't even check the speed indicator to known if he's fully stopped, and wished there was a button to automatically stop the ship (pressing 4 times the S key is too demanding, I guess). Or maybe that was my troll definition, I can't remember.

The OP might have a tiny little point, if there weren't so many players at tier 9 that play like they just downloaded the game 10 minutes ago for the first time.

Playing with noobs on low tier when trying to level new ships up is kinda annoying.

 

My suggestion is to take into account the tiers of other ships for existing players and use that to put them into the same teams and such.

 

So keep noobs among noobs mostly... slight variation is ok... but not too much.

 

Sometimes games feel like total noobs in team... quite annoying at times.

 

Perhaps match maker (mm) already does this... but perhaps not ! ;)

 

So example:

 

A tier 9 player trying to level up a tier 5 ship should be put into teams and enemy team with also players of tier 9 trying to level up their tier 5 ship as well.

Seeing how some Tier IX are playing, I do not see much difference to the lower tiers.

And looking at you, I doubt that the lower tiers play worse than you.
