Differences to its closest competitor, the Kiev:

Pros:
- 4 gun configuration
- 7,7 KM concealment instead of 9 KM
- 4 KM more torpedo range
- Better turning circle (610m vs 690m)
- Much lower concealment penalty for shooting (around 3,6 KM - 4 KM)

Cons:
- Lower rate of fire (72 vs 80 shots per minute fully upgraded)
- 0,4 KM less range
- 120mm caliber
- Less torpedoes (6 vs. 10) which are slower (57 vs. 70 knots)
- Lower top speed (39 vs. 42,5 knots)
- Worse rudder shift time (4,6s vs 3,8s assuming both are fully ugpraded)
- Worse AA (30 AA DPS vs. 78)
- 300 HP less


A worthy competitor to the Kiev despite its lower speed, caliber, range and AA due to the better concealment and torpedo range. Projectile speed and arc are on par with Russian DDs.

At the current point in time I would consider the Kiev superior, but this may change if the planned Kiev nerfs are implemented.

Feel free to post a comparison to the Mahan. I have practically no experience playing US DDs myself.

Last time it was offered for 30 euros (if I remember right), so only 10 euros more, and I think it did not sell too well.

Basically it is just an attempt to milk the Polish community, because it has no use as a premium ship to train captains, which makes it the most useless premium ship available. A Polish tree is not even planned.

The training captain aspect really is totally unimportant. On the other hand, she is a decend ship and even the modules in the 20€ package are useful for her. Heck, it's a bundle where you can make use of all it's components. That in itself is basically revolutionary in that premium shop. AND you got to choose between two variants of bundles for the ship, with one being basically the ship only.

The second is that a Polish ship is not really useful, as there's not going to be a national tree (at least I don't think so). There's even a third one, and it's that I'm not a DD player, even though I think this gunboats could be used like a mini cruiser.

 

Still 4 days to think about it. Bought it in the end. God knows how long will we have to wait for a similar deal from WG.

It IS small cruiser with solid stealth firing capabilities and workable torpedoes.

Port slots and free XP is probably the only valid use of doubloons right now. Buying credits remains horrendously wasteful just like in WoT.

It's a solid little ship and lots of fun and that's all the reason you need to buy it. Plays like a small CA and makes you lots of silver.

 

This is possibly the first solid deal we have been offered in a good long time, I recommend it.

The only issues i have with it is that you only can polish a polish captain with it. and that the murmansk is prob. still better for making money.

Nah, Blys can make equally good money, most likely more unless  you end up on Ocean map.

 

Quite astonishing though. People have complained for months that they want at least the choice between buying bundles and just the ship. Now WG does exactly that and they're still hearing complaints. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Why would they ever do what the tiny fraction of their community call for on the forums when that is the kind of reaction they're getting?

Murmansk will probably be better for credit grinding than most premiums for the foreseeable future. It's even on par with Atago if you don't run premium account. Only the Torpitz can really outperform it in credit gain.

 

A DD will always be difficult to get a reliable income out of since it relies very much on circumstances to get cap points and damage.

Takru, this is the most useless premium ship available. Show me the same kind of deal on Tirpitz and then we re talking.

Considering Błyskawica can fire unspotted from day one, I don't see issues with Ocean map whatsoever.
