Myoko upgrades

Which upgrades should I put on the Myoko cruiser I am going to buy?

I guess:

- main battery modification for better turret turning rate (I already have the captain skill, but that might not be enough)

- rudder modification for better rudder shift (as I will always be dodging shells)

 

Am I right about these two? What about other upgrades ?

I mounted the Gun dispersion mod on mine, with the rudder shift mod, I can usually orient the ship plus guns to compensate for the meh turret traverse. 

 

same here i dont think the turret rotation mod is a must have i rather get dispersion and compensate via steering (you wiggle anyway)

First Slot: Main Battery Modification 1


Second Slot: Gun Fire Control System Modification 1 OR Main Battery Modification 2 OR AA Guns Modification 2

Third Slot: Damage Control System Modification 1

Fourth Slot: Steering Gears Modification 2

For the second slot I recommend AA Guns Modification 2 or Main Battery Modification 2.

The accuracy of the Myoko is good enough that the Gun Fire Control Modification is entirely optional.
Main Battery Modification 2 is very handy as the turret traverse is very bothersome and on T7 you often cannot afford showing your broadside to help getting your guns locked on target.
AA Guns 2 is a good upgrade. Not quite as important as before, though, since less CVs are around these days.

There's not much in terms of fitting choices between cruisers these days before AA used to be the go to mod for fly swatting, but more and more games these days have very little to no CV's that in most cases its a wasted module, Gun fire control as little as it does to the paper stats seem to do a lot more in terms of the RNG in the over all spread and grouping regardless of range and is normally the module to fit on most cruisers and even BB's just for getting the grouping as tight as possible, else the turret traverse module on the ships with dreadful turret rotation speeds but then it hurts your DPS.

 

One thing I do thing helps at least with the AA range is advanced firing training its basically a universal boost to AA and secondary range which if you are going fly swatting you can still provide decent long range( 3.8-6.2km) effective AA without sacrificing a module slot, or least thats my thinking on cruisers anyway unless its the furutaka which can't really work as an AA escort cruiser unless the team is desperate.
