Hello.

Why WG not balanced ships to war era or year of this ship launch.

I looking to T6 cruiser. USA - T6 - cruiser Cleveland year 1942

                                    JPN -  T6 - cruiser Aoba year 1927

                                    GER - T6 - cruiser Nurnberg year 1935

This is balanced system ? Aoba vs Cleveland. 15 years jump. There is the idea. All boats must have its own category in which war served. World war 1 era and World war 2 era ships. Or T1 to T5 WW1 era ships and T6 to T10 WW2 era ships.

This game need more ideas how to balanced ships. Yes its only game but why people playing mixed category ? Same people say this game need more realism. Thx                         (sry for my bad eng)   :)

The Cleveland will be move to a higher tier (and buffed respectfully) when the USN cruiser line is split into a CA and CL line.

You want ships to be balanced...

and the way you'd do that is.. to balance them by year laid down.

Can someone help me with some extra facepalms?

I propose balancing them by length. :hiding:

Why WG not balanced ships to war era or year of this ship launch.

Because this is not a good enough parameter to balance them out. What should matter is the ships' performance in terms of firepower, armor and speed.

Anyway, the Cleveland is kind of a special case, and as others said it's slated to be moved up.

If they did as you propose the US navy would have almost nothing from tier 5-7 as in the 20s to mid 30s the american ship building program was almost non existent. also Aoba went through a Major modification in 1940 seriously upgrading the ship. The tier 5 and 6 american CV were launched 1942/43. so there would be no tier CV in 5 or 6.

What about height? Damn Pensacola could use it :)

We could use draught... ships automatically go up in tiers while sinking! :P

The only time the Cleveland truly outperformed the Aoba was in CBT, when it had its ROF and flat arcs.

Aoba had its historical 3 RPM (slower than the other No. 2s due to hoist problems) buffed to 5.5 rpm which made her a pretty fun T6 CA. At this point, I don't think the avg damage stats show the Cleveland being too strong against the Aoba.
