this is what u need to do

dd:

haul [edited]to cap with turbo as soon as possible, try to choose a cap with med on your back

if theres only 1 nme dd, and you can aim hit him with your he sheels, if you cant aim crap, haul [edited]back, activate smoke and run

if you see dd on a flank, and theres only bb there, go spot for him

also turn of your aa witk "p", activate only when planes spotted you and are circling over your head

always use he, never use ap ammo

youre a spotter first, everything else is secondary, when you die it hurts the team

meds:

follow dd to cap, when he spots nme dd you go medievial on his [edited], rain of fire, no stop, even if he activates smoke, often youll hit something with that magical 5s or 7s reload

when you see nme planes aproaching, adjust your course to intercept them, but dont follow them back to spawn couse youre just wasting time

put that fire rain over nme batleships, non stop, even if not correctly aimed, youre reloading so fast it doesnt matter

always use he, even when fighting nme meds, only time you put that ap round in you is when youre at close distance with another  med and his stupid enought to show you his broadside, keep your distance and spawn he, let him follow

batleships:

always use ap ammo

get into action, you have a lot of armor and a lot of hp, you can tank damage, that doesnt mean you should go alone into 5 nme ships, choose a moment when you have your back covered and push forward, focus on meds first, hit that citadel

mind the minimap, when you see planes approaching adjust your course so the planes have to go around to drop torpedoes, you meet torpedo bombers heads up, regular bombers from your broadside, its really not that difficult to dodge torpedoes, most cv players are noobsif youll have to eat one its no biggie, save your repair for when that second plane stops attacking

try to stick to open waters, leave yourselves place to manouver

carriers:

dont go around the map to try to sneak that torpedoes into nme cv, go towards middle, prefferably to spawn points, maybe you will spot nme dd and we can kill him before he caps

when you spot dd, stay over his head if theres somebody that can shoot him, wven with an empty plane, with fighters, whatever, when those dds are down, nme is blind, our bbs can breathe, they need to go down first

use bombers on dds

use torpedo bombers on bbs

dont go near meds

there may be some things i can explain further as i wrote this in 5 minutes, utterly pissed after losing 3 games in a row couse stupid dds

any questions?

I played with you in a team, you didn't do anything worth noting. What makes you think you're entitled to start this kind of aggressive topic - thats my question.

Do you honestly think that, with the title you have chosen for your topic, anyone will pay any attention to what you have to say in a positive way?

Wow. That rhymed. I am a poet.

On a serious note, why not encourage players to effectively communicate? Why not start a constructive conversation where people could pinch in in a worthwhile manner?

Cheers, M

I must admit i was angry when i wrote this, but seriously guys dont be oversensitive. Im not attacking good players (as i see most of comments in this thread is from great players)  and saying everybody is a noob but me, but this situation on ranked is ridicolous. That post title was used as a bait so more people will read it.

But anyway

is there something in my post that is a bad advice for noob players? Anything you dont agree on? I wouldnt post this if i didnt have an improvement in gameplay in mind.

Click bait ... wow that is new(maybe i should get some add block for that:))  Your tone is condescending, advice is not bad but ranting and venting on NEW-players on this forum is like yelling at the moon. Most never visit or read. Even if they do, they will take offence. When you are frustrated, turn off the game, do something that makes you happy...

I might add that destroyers aren't supposed to cap flags in the beginning of the round because you will get spotted by enemy DDs and you will die so fast ( From experience ). Destroyers should circle around the flag to spot any relevant target in the beginning of the round and capping flags should be given for the Cruisers to accomplish. As for Battleships, always use HE when targeting destroyers to disable them and make them easier to kill.

The way some "good" players are forcing other players to do what they want them to do, works counterproductive.

Do they really think that it will have a positive effect on the outcome of a battle, when you call people a noob and/or verbally "attack" them, when they are not exactly doing what you want?

I also participate in the Ranked Battles, and i do not consider myself to be a bad player, but i am also not a "good" player.

I am now on Rank 5, and sofar i really enjoyed the road to Rank 5.

I had good games but also bad games. (everyone has them..)

Some games i ended up in the lower regions of the list, but in some others, i was the only one remaining from my team, and i still managed to win the battle for the team.

But now, the road from Rank 5 to Rank 1, the enjoying the Ranked Battles, has become a how much verbal abuse can you take from another player in your team, who finds that you, from the start of the battle, are going to be the one that is losing the game for him.

From that moment on, they are spending more time on cruise control and are typing all sorts of non-motivating/non-productive comments towards you or other players in your team, it indeed can result in not winning that battle...

- Does forcing other players to do what you want them to do, really give/have a positive effect on the outcome of the battle?

- Is it so hard/difficult to give advice and/or motivate the "not so good" players? (we are all trying to reach the same goal)

- Do those players, who find themselves the "best" players, really have fun in Ranked Battles, with all the negative/agressive behaviour they spread towards other players?

- Does ruining the fun that players have in Ranked Battles, really satisfy your needs?

I have seen enough Ranked Battles where the so called "good" players ended up in the bottom of the list, and the players they called noobs, won them the battle.

Again, i do not consider myself a bad nor a good player, but i will always try to do the best i can do in a battle.

Don't like having me in your team, and feel the urge to let me know that you think i am a bad/useless player? Feel free to send me a message after the battle, not during the battle.

This way it won't have a negative effect on the other players in the team.

- Positive thinking will let you/others do everything better than negative thinking will.

- If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes.

- Nobody makes you angry, you decide to use anger as your response.

All the above is intended for the few players that feel the urge to force others to do what they want them to do, and therefore ruin the fun for others.

Sometimes you need those bad days, to appreciate the good ones

Why are you leaving them undone, not properly tight?

Or you mean you lose games. as in, you suffer in a defeat?

Bit confused here.

is there something in my post that is a bad advice for noob players? Anything you dont agree on? I wouldnt post this if i didnt have an improvement in gameplay in mind.

Well, yes, a few things I wouldn´t agree on:

Your advice seems to only apply to some specific ships, not classes in general. Not all battleships have great armor. Not all cruisers have good AA.

I strongly disagree on your "Always use AP/HE" advice. You should be constantly aware what to shoot at what target. For example, a destroyer can score citadel hits on cruisers with AP (but yes, mostly HE is the best choice for destroyers). If you are in a cruiser and an enemy cruiser is showing his broadside, always shoot AP, regardless of range. For german cruisers, AP is also the way to go, simply because it does way more damage than HE, and they have decent penetration. You will often do more damage to BBs with AP as well.

As a BB there are also situations where a change to HE is useful. If you have a bad angle at an enemy BB, you won´t do much damage with AP. If you find yourself forced to deal with a destroyer, HE is a good choice as well.

Generally, if the target is already burning, there is not much point in shooting more HE

I also don´t think that DDs are generally spotters in the first place. Once the shooting starts, enemy ships will be spotted at 15+ km anyway, there is not much need for a spotter. US and russian DDs also don´t have good concealment, if the enemy has japanese DDs, they will spot you before you do. So I see the main objective of DDs in torpedo strikes. and fire support (depending in tiers. Torpedo strikes with low tier US and russian DDs are often suicide)

There are no "meds" in this game.

Overall, the best advice is "Mind the Minimap" and this applies to all classes. Be aware where enemies show up, where your teammates are, pay extra attention to destroyers and aircraft popping up on the map, and keep an eye on the cap circles.

Was it written on a mobile phone? In all honesty it is so poorly written most would not read past the first angst filled lines. Also, what you have to consider, is that the majority of players never visit the forums, so you are missing the right audience you need to address.

Cant agree more. And the ones that visit the forums are often the more experinced players. Please, dont make more rant threads about this because you just have to put up with it.

You shouldn't attack anyone, good or bad players. Ranting fools like you ruin the game for others, it's not bad players fault they are matched with good players or vice versa, the matchmaking can be quite shambolic at times

My question exactly. +1 Jackobite

As a Nurnberg captain I call your CL instructions utter BS. I won´t follow DDs to cap just because you told me so when I´m more effective as mid-to-long range skirmisher/fire support. Also I will rather spam APs than HE on this ship...

I do understand what the OP means, it is at times extremely frustrading to see teammates being stupid and wasting your time. The best thing you can do is play ranked battles and avoid most of the idiots, but it is no garanti.

Even with all the frustrading gamemechanics we have in this game, most of the time bad teammates are the worst.

Maybe it is just me, but I play to win, winning just makes it more fun for me.

If it really maters to you, you should change the header and rewrite your stuff. Also you should state that this proposed way of action is for RBs only! If you dont do this, its just a rant.

dd:

youre a spotter first, everything else is secondary, when you die it hurts the team

Yeah, right...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mopr30opd7mcp32/Omaha%20Citadelled.jpg?dl=0

About 10s before that sceenshot moment that target misprioritizing Omaha had ~19k hitpoints.

And this is what happens when you have three enemy cruisers showing their side at 8km range while you sit in smoke.

Gremy vs cruisers score.jpgGremy vs cruisers details.jpg

Besides your Cleveland makes easy to hit from long range and well burning target for Soviet DD 130mm gun.

And that Pepsicola lacks firerate for HE spam.

Longer range plunging fire salvo of 203mm APs again works really well against weakish deck armor of cruisers.

I've had some REALLY bad games where I've got really frustrated with my teammates in general but I wouldn't advise full-on rage posts :P.

As for what to do about people doing silly things in games. You can't really control what everyone is doing, just try to be upbeat and positive in the game, help to co-ordinate what people are doing and hope it comes off. If someone does something wrong calmly try to provide some advice on what they should do but don't get in an argument if they don't accept the advice that will just get you more frustrated.

Just going to say there is only one constant factor in battles , no matter what tier or what the MM throws at you. And that is the lump of meat behind the keyboard.
