Seems like all the NA whining about Mikasa paid off. With interest.

 

Now, WG EU, I'm thankful for the contests we get, I really am... but they pale in comparison with this one. And NA already had a "contest" where everybody who participated got a ship (Marblehead). On top of Alienware Aurora giveaway, again for everyone.

 

Could we get a "contest" where everyone wins? Yes, I know each server cluster is "independent", but I also know it was said that NA and EU will work together to have similar contests.

Seriously though, this is getting beyond silly. Why not just grant the NA players a monthly grant of something? Seems like it barely any different from what they are getting normally.

Marketing is localized as far as I'm aware. Besides the lovely people on NA tend to whine a lot so WGNA gives them stuff to shut their mouths(just like parents do with kids). Personally I disagree on gifting free stuff just because, it gives the impression that if you whine enough you'll get what you want.

 

Anyway I'm sure WGEU will come up with something, hopefully avoiding gifting stuff with no apparent reason. A compromise would be to grant rewards scalable with results. As example(the first idea i came up with to explain the concept): a contest lasting a week about damage dealt. If you do x amount of damage at the end you get a certain reward(gold and/or premium days and/or flags and/or premium ships ). The higher the final result the better the prize. This way everybody would get something but what they get depends on what they do and not on if they showed up or not.

I might be mistaken about Mikasa (maybe I was just dreaming then) but stuff like this happened in WoT as well, where a "rare" T2 tank was sold with a bunch of gold + premium time for 100€, sorry 99,99€. I exaggerated a bit with 100€ I guess

That's similar to what War Thunder does. You get events where you have to fulfil several steps and you get rewards for each step reached. It's even the same in the ranked games here, although for War Thunder, you can only make progress, never lose progress.

Well, to be fair, we did get some ships on sale first (as some people made pointed it out for me before), but they are getting much more "free stuff", better contest and missions from what I've seen...

As bad as we have it regarding contests and NA regarding premium ship releases... WG Asia has to have it the worst... everyone forgot it even exists

you cannot blame them due to the USA shopping mentality (sales, discounts , actions and this kind of stuff)

Imho they are used to get everything first, not last
