Personally I went for Main battery durability mod, cannons accuracy, propeller reliability and faster rudder shift. Although I think about replacing last one with propeller mod for better acceleration, past 35kn Błyskawica doesn't pick up speed as fast as I would like to.

 

Yeah, I always have that dilemma as well... propulsion and steering, they are both good ones. I am using steering one for now :)

Thanks for that - I guess this DD is a 'gunship' rather than a 'torpedoe' ship.

I prefer the propeller modification.

A lot of people underestimate the speed of the gunboat DDs at range and tend to hit the back of your ship a lot more than your front.

 

At 10-12 KM I mostly lose my propeller, but once I get into close-range engagements it's often the steering.

 

Apart from that I use the Main Battery mod, Accuracy Mod and Rudder Shift Time Improvement.

Its indeed gunboat and good one at that (not as much as Kiev, but close second and IMO way better than DP mortars mounted on USN derpstroyers), but still carries workable torpedoes. Even if not for damage, they can force ship to turn, which usually stops their return fire.

Another big dillema is captain skills level 4. AFT or DE? hehe I cant decide and soon i will be able to choose..

 

BTW, I got captain XP 50% boost flags for some achievements in game but can I buy those flags?

i wanted to buy it at first, but then i saw diablo3+ datadisc for less than 30E....

Yeah I hear you. Maybe better solution would be premium acc. But how much extra captain XP we gain with premium acc on regular and premium ships?? Anyone know?

Błyskawica has 30% exp extra paintjob, so if you would earn 1000 base exp, with non premium and Bły you get 1000*1.3=1300 exp both researchable and captain exp. With premium and Bły you get 1000*1.5*1.3=1950. IIRC captain exp/regular exp flags add +50% from base result+premium if available, so 1000 base exp + premium ship + premium acc + both flags would be like 1000*1.5*(1+0.3+0.5+0.5)=3450exp for captain (and 2700exp for ship)

Yes you are right as the extra Captain Experience helps to train him quicker for my Polish line.... oh wait :sceptic:

 

The bonus of having this ship is free xp gaining and a little extra credits... Most of all it's a fun ship! You can have some great and some bad games but you will always leave the match smiling..

Its not like the same bonuses apply to any other premium ship... With tier 8 having +50% bonus exp paintjob I think

I went AFT, with this you have much larger margin for ninja firing at ships, although near 14km shell velocity drops to rather slow values

I have exactly the same problem! My captain is at 13 points atm, so pretty soon i will have to make a choice.

Normally i go with Last Stand for DDs but with Blyska i have noticed that my engine/steering doesn't get hit that much or if it does i usually have repair available.

 

AFT is another option to increase the range at 14.4 km but we already have good range at 12km and beyond that i bet it will be very difficult to hit succesfully.

Also invisi-fire is not really my thing. I cant make it work properly.

 

So, we are left with DE which pumps up the fire chance to 11% but is it worth to spend 4 whole points for 3% more? Don't' know.

This is what iChase proposes though in his presentation video about the ship. Hmmm....

 

What do you guys think?

 

 

p.s. 5th row is a no-brainer for me. Concealment Expert! 7.5km detactability is too much!

Well depends on your play style...

 

I originally went with demolition expert, but i noticed that since my playstyle was more of a brawler-DD hunter i had to retrain my captain to get last stand. My engine and rudder was taken out way to often.

 

But i do have to admit when i had DE it was fun having a little flamethrower :D

Its really very hard choice in 4th row of captain skills...AFT, DE or Last stand. All very needed. But maybe once concealment perk at row 5 is grinded AFT is not needed. You have even more stealth room, DDs have less space to detect you and you still have 12 km range and nice velocity...Blyss doesnt have problem with putting up fires also...

so yeah, maybe last stand would be the best choice in 4th row...

4th row skills are overrated. Blyskawica is stonk out the box and they don't add much.

Im with Tadej since I experienced the same...Last stand is very very needed and probably more needed than AFT and extra fire...
