Orree Beta Tester 145 posts Report post #11 Posted October 29, 2015 Can't really imagine the "NA Community" having too much of a problem with the U.S.S. Arizona being added to the game. It was a ship that was lost in an undeclared (at that time) war in a spectacularly tragic way, but it's not exactly a huge sore spot for Americans any more than the loss of any other ship at Pearl Harbor or throughout the war. As many are probably aware, the wreck is a memorial site in Pearl Harbor, these days. I don't think that precludes anyone adding it to a game. I'm actually a native Arizonan and I'd love to have this ship in the game. In face, back in CBT, I was hoping the gift ship was going to be the U.S.S. Arizona rather than what it ended up being. I check the NA forum sometimes, and every time the question is raised there is a lot of people opposing. Their reasoning usually has to do with the ship being a war grave, and also with the fact that it was attacked in "peace time". Not very logical, as there are sunken ships with fallen seamen from many nationalities everywhere in the world, but... it's a controversial matter in NA. Based on this we could not see either HMS Hood (1200 casualties), Yamato (2800) or Bismarck (2200) in the game. Arizona had the crew of 1000 men only. Warships history is full of tragedies. She's practically become a symbol of the attack at Pear Harbour and is one of the most famous battleships the USN has ever had, so she is one of the most deserving US battleships to be implemented as a premium. If they eventually plan to add the Pennsylvanias as a class later on for a second battleship line then they will have already done 99% of the work as they have already modelled the Arizona, so it isn't even much extra work for them.
