A T5 IJN DD would be a nice money maker, but for that price? Come on. I might as well throw in a bit more and buy the Atago.

Not sure if the destroyer is worth £5 more than the Murmansk, even minus the doubloons it still sells for £14.43.

Well, the up side is that it will be a great for grinding IJN DD captains.

That's true, think I would prefer the Tachibana for that and it cost a glorious £2.99. That's something WG should work on, people are more likely to impulse buy cheap stuff so they could probably increase revenue quite a bit by selling lower cost ships to more people.

I think my US destroyer captain is sitting in my Albany at the moment come to think of it.

Selling digital stuff cheaper to actually earn more money, what sorcery is this?

Here is a quick summary of the Fujin from Concretedonkey, a player on the NA forums:

[quote name=
Just a quick review.

It is a Minekaze, I had almost 300 battles in mine and I loved it.   Finally moved my captain out of it to grind the Hatsuharu.

The Good

  • I can grind my Hatsuharu with a captain with the "concealment expert" perk and still drive a fun tier 5.
  • With concealment expert and camo, surface detectability range is 5.4km
  • The torpedo tubes have the Minekaze's pre nurf firing arcs... maybe a little better, so you can use all 6 torps without having to turn almost perpendicular to the firing line (broadside to the target)
  • guns turn a little better and have a better rate of fire 6 rpm vs 5 rpm.  If you are shooting things in this boat you are doing it wrong. It is a nice backup to have.
  • it is fun.

The Bad

  • a little slower and a little more sluggish, I did not notice it most of the time but when I have torpedoes coming my way or knife fighting another destroyer you will miss the Minekaze's edge.
  • Its 30 dollars instead of $16.71.
  • AA is two WW1 era 30 caliber machine guns.  All they will ever do is give your position away.

The Ugly

  • the skin... good god.  But I run with camo and even then I use the "Invisible Camo" mod so mine is a stylish IJN grey.

Would I buy it again... yes but only because I have a leveled up IJN captain.  The firing arcs are a huge improvement  over the current Minekaze because it lets you charge up to the target, turn away, and let go of all six torps while putting distance between you and the target.  The current Minekaze requires you to run broadside to your target for a few more seconds then I would like.

This DD sounds pretty good, actually. :)

I'm currently at the Minekaze myself, and I really like its playstyle. However, I'm simply not going to be arsed to keep the minekaze and train a whole new captain for it when I'll progress further down the tech tree, so a premium sure does sound great to me. Too bad its priced at a ridiculous 30 euros with a bunch of stuff I really dont need/want, so for me its just not worth it. I typically already pick up a year premiumtime at discounts around x-mas already, and the warspite and tirpitz bundle pretty much filled the bank with doubloons already. I dont need anymore!

If it was "just the ship" at a price compareable to the Murmansk I wouldve bought it. But if youre really about to spend 30 euro's in the premium shop; Get an Atlanta.

you can stick your ijn dd captain in any ijn premium and the ishizuchi cost £7.96 its a massive saving on the ijn premium

So let's see €29.99 gets you 60 signal flags, 2500 doubloons, a port slot and the Fujin.

2500 doubloons = €9.99

60 signal flag = €2

1 port slot (300 doubloons) = €1.35

Therefore Fujin = about €16.65

The Murmansk is €12.87

So not a terrible bundle from WG but the individual ship is arguably more expensive than it should be, and it doesn't help that it is in a package to double the price.

As someone who mainly plays IJN DDs and only has tier 2 premium ships (Albany and Tachibana) so far, I will probably buy this. Both to help with credits and IJN DD captains. But I would prefer the ship on its own.

This clones should be even cheaper than standard Premiums, simply for the reason that you have a very similar ship in the regular tree for free. I don't see the point of buying a Fujin, when I already have a Minekaze.

So WG, you can keep your ship, that I will find something better to do with my 10€ (which is the most I'd pay for that).

Oh, hey, another premium ship.

- Overpriced: check

- Only in bundle: check

- More useless dubloons: check

- Artificial scarcity: check

Bundles are very poor and unfair. Take for example: You buy Atago bundle tier 8 ship, so you would assume you would not have to Research tier 8 in the IJN Tech Tree as you have already purchased a Atago Tier 8, well it seems you still have to research Fubuki tier 8, that is so wrong. I will never buy bundles from here on unless they are fair. Premium deals are not good.

Its an odd move. I guess you could still go out and buy PC Gamer magazine atm (either digital or hard copy) and get the Tachibana for the maximum sum of £5.99 if you needed a IJN DD premium. Collectors out there like me will buy, what choice do we have? But I'd imagine that we are a relatively rare breed and many people will be turned off by the inflated price tag.

WG, when are you going to understand that choice is a good thing, your customers will be happy when given a viable choice, you'll sell more.

What? You want buying a premium to unlock the corresponding tier on the tech tree? That has never been an option in any WG title or indeed in any similar game. That has to be the most unrealistic expectation I have ever read on this or any forum, what planet do you live on? Ever visited the planet earth?

Most interesting thing about this is that the store is updated before the main page. This is giving you all the info needed.

On the bundle...

Well what can you say, another heap of fail, bundles bundles everywhere,  you can keep them and shove them into a corner to collect dust.
