x2 daily xp?

I know I must have missed reading somewhere, but this x2 xp event seems to have gone on longer than the weekend.

 

Is it an extended x2 xp event or have I missed some change somewhere?

I was surprised as well, but on the event calendar it says:

16-23 October: Battle of Moon Sound

x2 XP First Win Bonus

The Russian and German fleets are making their way into World of Warships and 16 October marks the beginning of the Battle of Moon Sound: a clash between the German Empire and the Russian Republic in the Baltic Sea.

STARTS 16 October at 07:10 CEST (UTC+2)

ENDS 23 October at 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)

 

And then:

 

23-26 October: Battle of Leyte Gulf

x2 XP First Win Bonus

By far the largest naval battle of WW2 and perhaps even in the history of maritime conflicts, this was the last charge of the Japanese navy. Most of the US and Imperial Japanese ships from the game’s tech-tree, above Tier V, took part in this engagement, including Iowa, Yamato, Fuso and the carriers Independence and Essex.
