Maybe you should pay more attention to the team effort then trying to maximize your individual score if you want to win?
 

Doesn't matter if you rush ahead in one flank and do alot of damage if it allows the enemy to advance on the other side or even middle of map and cap first and win, does it?

Well you'll get more XP etc than your team... Team dependent is good - for the win - but it *only* gets you X1.5 XP. What I think would be better is adding additional bonuses for team play.

So where is the problem? THis game rewards good play, no matter you win or lose. Lots of times ive end up in losing team with highest score of both teams and countless times losing still being in top 5 from both teams.  Thats what i like in this game, even in lose i make enough to repair ship and make an extra coin

I actually often choose the flank, which has less of our players, when playing BB. Sometimes I cant dish a lot of damage, but can "tank" and slow them long enough to give win for our team

I do this too. If you're a good player you can hold off a flank, increase the win chance and have plenty of enemies to damage for your own XP. Kiting can be fun

Same here, but with my CA's mainly. With DD's, unless it's low tier IJN, there is no sense in going against too many fast ships without some support so I'll usually push ahead of lemming train and hope they don't slow down, then when momentum is guaranteed and the need arises --> speedy gonzales to defend our cap.

 

Following a lemming train is usually not the best thing to do, unless you're not comfortable kiting enemy ships at max ranges.

He is new... he doesn´t know how to win... and serious.. if the thread title would be "how can i play to win more matches" i would be glad to help him... but this kind of threads.. he will end up as a 1k matches 40-45% scrub or quit.

Maybe. His stats at this early stage suggest he knows how to play though. Now it's just a question of learning how to carry... However with low games WR is misleading. You can easily get a run of bad teams

Wave ... you said my name. What's the problem with 40-45% Win rate. I see day for day that there are many players that are much worse. My lousy stats are good enough that i'm more often under the top 5 players of my team then kissing the bottom of the list.

 

When i look at your stats i could start to believe that you are only good in sealclubbing. With Higher Tiers your almighty WR is dropping significantly.

I also see you are only driving DD's, looks like the guy has more experience with BB's and CA's then you. And that's a shame, he has half of the games on his account you got on minekaze.

Probably because the minekaze is the best ijn dd. I don't think playing lots of tier V is seal clubbing. Tier V is the maximum fun zone in my opinion. Minekaze, Murmansk, Omaha, Kongo... All great ships and fun to play. 

 

Are we really going to do the stats thing? Alalos is a dd specialist. Nothing wrong with that. Stats don't matter unless YOU aren't happy with how YOU are playing. Even a "scrub" can help team win...

So yeah... i like playing dd.... minekaze is my division ship.. since my friends my friends don´t play that much.. and testing all lines... that means 30-50 matches at tier 5 for each of them.

 

 

iam not saying his stats suck.. all i said.. that a thread aka "help me to win matches" is more rewarding as to say "iam good but my team suxx".

 

Most people tend to think they are good.. but they aren´t.. so the team or something else is just an excuse. If you lose alot.. and alot means more as 40% ( 50% wins 40% lose 10% draw ) you can learn alot and win alot more.

Gameplay changes and target selection can change your winratio from sloopy 45% easy to 50%+..

 

but to have good stats in a bad team.. still doesn´t make you a good player.

If your top in your team.. with 1k xp and every1 else got just 500 xp .. you are pretty much avg...

 

For sure there are teams... which you can´t carry.. but well.. see for yourself..

My thoughts exactlt. OP can come back to me when he is at 17 with 11 losses and 6 draws in a row and top scorer in each one.

 

On the other hand, my longest winning streak ever was 24 games in a row over 3 days, and in some of them I totally screwed up and won only because my team made up for my mistakes
