If I where to use gold to convert it to free XP it would cost 56000 gold doubloons, which is 30500 at £73.63 +14500 at £36.83, and 10,000 at £26.37. A nice tidy sum of £136.83. Well that is just not going to happen, ever, unless I win the lottery. I can't really see the point of it? It can't be used to train a captain, accelerate training, buy anything with it? It's not free xp, but xp he accumulated on his elite ships... OT: I used to transfer just a bit of accumulated xp to free xp in WoT, mostly I had no free xp to spend and didn't want to play with a certain stock tank/ship so I used it to research a couple of modules In WoT there are some specials where you can transfer 35 xp for 1 gold, instead of the usual 25xp=1 gold, so you might wait for that I guess? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So treat it as an interesting stat and leave it. So your premium ship captains get the xp instead. I have bought a lot of gold in this game and converted free xp to bypass Izumo and Colorado, and I have enough left over to convert free xp to tier 7 or 8 of Soviet Destroyers when they come out. It is really expensive. Extremely expensive compared to other full price games. So I have given WoWS a rest for now and I bought Naval War: Arctic Circle and Pillars of Eternity + White March pack on steam instead, which works out to be much cheaper than a 30,500 gold pack for WoWS 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I have been re-assured that this is a serious FLAW plus the high-cost packages to upgrade your fleet. The designers/owners of WoW are perhaps getting greedy? They should be advised on "the law of diminishing returns" which means their clients WILL go elsewhere where the costs are MUCH lower. Thanks for your feedback - much appreciated. Already played the Benson up to the Fletcher (again using free xp after getting fed up with it) and only need about 100k to unlock the North Carolina. Also used a lot to progress through IJN lines faster and I never had to take out stock ships to battle. Yup spent a lot of cash over 3 month period on WoWs but as an MTG-online player this game pulling me away from MTGO has actually saved me money Just benefits of double income, no kids Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Common sense fail? Let me explain. Part of the reason you buy premiums is to convert the free xp so you can level through certains ships faster, thats your choice. Moreover if you have so much xp why play the premiums so much!!! Sorry but there's some failed logic here that needs stating. I do agree though the conversion rate sucks but hey that's tough titty. p.s personally I have 2 premiums and have enough free xp to probably hit tier 5 russian dd but I havent played massive amounts of battles to do this and havent spent loads either...
