I have been saving some free xp, and working on my german captain too be ready for the german ships. But seeing them on youtube these days feels like a real punch in the face. Tirpitz is great but these ships are just crap. I have only had 2 battles today and although the battles were won it certainly was not down to my overwhelming performance. Took the Konigsberg out and although I spammed nearly 200 HE shells it resulted in one kill and only 20k damage. Don't get me on how easily it was to burn and get damaged either! Ah, the Nurnberg, 3 full salvoes onto an enemy Phoenix, 8 hits for a total of 2k damage, Phoenix hits me with one shell for 3.5k damage, takes my steering and engine out and sets me alight! Ran for my life and ended up sniping for the rest of the battle fearing any ship that had anything resembling a shotgun for a gun. Oh they look good, those triple turrets look like they mean serious business but as they currently stand, well I guess it better wait until you can sail them! AP which is only effective against other cruisers...showing their broadsides...at specific ranges. You'll fire far more HE rounds in your cruiser then AP....and the HE is downright garbage on the german line. I would say that depends....Hermelin is a good tier 1 ship...Tier 2&3 are G A R B A G E....I would definitely use XP to jump over those s&^%$y (crappy) ships. Tier 4,5 & 6 are interesting with Tier 5 being the best of its class. Tier 7&8 appear to be fair at best and Tier 10 is an average good ship against lower tiers but again for its Tier it is out classed by Zao and DesMoines. So, as to using free XP....it depends because there are some really BAD ships in this cruiser grind that should be avoided. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Armor has been a complaint everyone has talked about ever since WOWS released the stats on this line of ships. One thing that I see as glaringly obvious is the obnoxious detection range they gave the German Cruisers...it is horrible. Because they have much much thinner armor, weak guns (as to caliber not range or dispersion), and the worst damage values for shells, same speed......at least give them concealment capabilities better than USN and IJN..to even things up alittle...!!!!!
