So what's your longest losing streak in the game?

Okay, so first things first:

• right now (0407 on 20151006) I'm still slightly tipsy.
• This is a semi rant, semi laugh-off thread (or so it is intended to be)

 

 

In 6 games I played, I got 6 defeats.

 

And oh boy did I see the flavour of stupid players all around. I am not in form myself, running face-first into a couple of enemy BB's backed up by 4 CA's, but the sheer amount of retardedness outdoes me by far.

As a Pepsi-grinder I can still blame the ship for doing badly, but after seeing top tier DD's (Hatsuharu, Kagero) run off and get slaughtered by enemy CA's for no more than one torp drop, then the friendly CA's dying within 3 minutes of the game's beggining and top tier BB's not wanting to let go of the A, J, 1 and 10 lines, I think I've seen it all. In these 5 games in the semi-stock Pepsi (only the hull unlocked, go figure...) I've managed top place on the team 4 (!?!) times. Four. In these four matches, I was top tier twice once. A single time. And then after sinking two CA's and being the last guy standing on my team the friendly Hatsuharu (who ran off and died miserably in the first 3 minutes) starts telling me that I need to be using the LMB. Well thank-fking-you, do you need  instructions on how not to die 3 minutes into the game?

 

Oh well. I guess it's like ye ole' Led Zep sings: "Good times, bad times, you know I had my share"

I think it was 4 games, but I do not really count them.

Don´t count either, but usually, when I lose 4-5 matches in a row, I simply stop playing and try again the next day.

This is what I dont like about WG games. Its all about win rate, when it should be all about having fun. I totally understand it cose winning is awarded better than loosing, even if you play better than some players from winning team. I like how WT gives you totally same amount of credits and exp, no matter do you loose or win. Its all about you. If this game wouldnt run so mutch around individual stats, game would be mutch, mutch more enjoyable.

I have a friend who had some bad streaks lately. Once he had 1 win 14 defeats, the other time 3 wins 20 losses. He is actually a good player with lots off experiance, but got some very bad teams and got very mad. He wanted to turn it around but after 6-7 losses lost concentration and started to do mistakes. He was in very bad mood for a few days and coudnt calm down. He played a lot for the next few days just to try to turn it around, but he coudnt... than he quit the game.

18 games in a row. Back when there was a wipe between the CAT and the start of CBT, i lost 18 games in a row (no i'm not joking), it took me 3 days to get to tier 3 because of how bad the games were (and yes, that includes the grind i had to go through to get to pvp battles from coop) >.< I don't think i've met anyone with a longer losing streak than me yet... well... noone who hasn't been throwing the games on purpose by tking at least.

6? Wtf... Including draws i've got 24. TWENTY FOUR. That was in CBT, mostly on Cleveland. It was so bad that this whole thing took me a week.

6 or 7 I think. I started a new account at the weekend for the Aurora and it was horrific. Weekend game play is just...

 

Unfortunately WG games are often about frustration than fun. Like hunting through piles of feces to find treasure. Occasionally you find a gem but mostly you are just covered in crap. 

 

I find the Pensacola to be a good ship once you have the extra guns from the hull upgrade.

Anyway, the OP was p*ssed and it was early so it is a moot point (the losses not him being p*ssed )

 

I did have 10 losses in a row once but now if I lose 2 in a row I walk away for a coffee, I have found it stops over concentrating and obviously the feeling of disappointment especially if you have done well in those losses. Anyway, the OP is pretty decent so I am sure the results will soon get overturned.

Same thing, today i got first game when despite being lowest tier in a team i did 2x xp than the next person. Meh, not worth my time. End of playing after first battle. But yesterday it was the same, and the day before 3 loses without a win.

Hmm. This demonstrates poor emotional intelligence. I had bad losing streaks but if you keep playing and learning you will win more. Sometimes it's just not going to happen but yesterday in my st. Louis we were losing badly. Dds managing to run into long range torps and BBs doing basically nothing. But we won by 12 points because I kept going - with a friendly carrier - working together simply to make the points back. Then hiding in low health for the win.

My first 40-50 games in WoWs were basically losses and draws. 11% WR. I had 43% after 300 games.Since i started to play BBs its getting better and better. Mostly playing solo. If you wanna win in this game you have to do lot of DMG. Its only 3 ways how to do it. CV,  BB and Zao

I've definitely had over 6 in a row.  In fact last night I had 5 in row when I logged on... but then 9 wins in a row before I went to bed (and 2 more wins this morning!) so it is swings and roundabouts.

Doesnt really make sense. Then it would all be about damage-whoring and K/D-Ratio instead of playing for the true purpose of a competitive game: winning.

 

The 50% extra-XP for winning is the only thing that slightly encourages teamplay and might convince some People to take a shot for the team instead of going true full-ego-mode.

 

Edit: I think my worst streak was 7 defeats a row, but it was 12 for victories.

11. But I've had winning streaks too. However I mitigate losing streaks by playing a coop if I lose 3 in a row.

 

Mostly to verify I'm not useless and to stop myself getting fed up.

Had a stint when I probably lost 10-15 in a row...sucks when it happens and made me take a couple of days break.

 

Now I´m on a 10+ winning streak.
