And yes, stupid questions or suggestions get a -1 i think the idea is great, but to -1 someone for a suggestion...i give you a -1 just for being such a forum troller. you probably got more forum posts than battles, haha. dont worry about machoists like eimer sollit, i think its a great suggestion, but not practicle. as machoist eimer says, they would have done it already. it would require an entire engine change to use the nvidia physix. Bit of a shame for AMD peeps but buy better in future.....(and yeah there should be something like this for both AMD/Nvidia). So... let me get this straight: - you dont care about WoWs, yet you post in this forum - you dont even like ships, yet you post in this forum - you try to insult someone by claiming he has less battles than posts (in a game that went live 2 weeks ago) yet you dont even have a single game And you call others "Trolls"? delaci76 Beta Tester 654 posts Report post #13 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) Actually whether the OP has two posts or not is irrelevant really what is, is the origanal idea. And it isnt bad per say nor do I think it's trolling. Ok it does have a bit of well "look at Gaiijin and sucks to have amd" but both of those arent necessarily wrong per say either. Depending on what your opinion is...there are some things war thunder does well and yes you can argue physx/gameworks would improve a title. Mafia2 with physx was a joy...sad though only one game I liked with physx. (gameworks just another spin off...same thing no?). Others titles it has been more of a fps killer/gimmick. p.s amd did the same thing with Mantle. (again gimmicky). Edited October 2, 2015 by delaci76

mtm78 Alpha Tester 19,378 posts 6,105 battles Report post #15 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) Mantle was not a closed system, AMD has worked a lot with Intel on implementing a lot of it with DX12. Gameworks is a totally closed system, and games which utilize it are not allowed to optimise for AMD. Notice a difference? edit: ps I absolutely loved Mirrors Edge when I had an nvidia card, it was utterly amazing! But the point isn't about what the addition can do ( limited to one gpu vendor, with degraded performance on other vendor's hardware ), it's about the ecosystem Nvidia tries to push with Gameworks. Nothing you said has any truth in it, and as such it has no value. I guess you're trying to make something close to a self fulfilling prophecy in your statement, applied back on itself? BigWorld could - I assume - deliver more and better, but they just don't put money/effort in it. Unlikey, BigWorld was never that popular and WG essentially rented the engine from them. A few years ago they bought out BigWorld, which was a huge mistake considering they could have used...well pretty much any engine and future proofed their game. I have owned both over the yrs and will continue to buy nvidia which I believe releases superior products in terms of perf/cooling/drivers. Yes they are more expensive. Until that changes I wont buy an AMD card...and yes I consider them when buying a new card just as much as I do an nvidia one. So cut the crap you aint gonna fool me. Not to say you cant have fun on an amd card but I can count driver issues with nvidia on one hand and with Amd it's prob double that.. p.s fifa16 just recently had vsync issues to name an example. cant be more current than that can i? oh and just on this page recently two complaints from peeps with amd...coincidence.. mtm78 Alpha Tester 19,378 posts 6,105 battles Report post #25 Posted October 3, 2015 I buy AMD because I like supporting good engineering over good marketing. The only plus for Nvidia is in the amount of resources they've piled on software/drivers. This might sound good, but Nvidia is a real opponent of open source software and standards, and have been caught more than once with 'foul play' when considering their position on the market. If you only care for price/performance, I would probably now buy Nvidia because of the running costs ( nvidia has done really good with power consumption ). But if you care about anything like supporting open software development and 'fair play', you should stay clear of anything Nvidia if possible. Ofc, just my and I can fully understand people who choose with their wallet only.
