Nice, can't wait for October. We will get x2 xp for first win instead of 1,5 and latter x2 xp for first win then x2 xp for the first win and even more x2 xp for the first win! Thx wg really appreciate that. 

Sorry if I forgot to mention some of those bonuses, there was too many and too different to remember all.

Here's an idea wargaming, try fewer events, but include something players will actually care about!

I do hope that's a placeholder because while x2 is welcome we could also have:

Flags for your first win
Special missions
X1.5 credits for first win
Prizes per day for highest base XP score per server per ship like oh, 500 doubloons...

Even I can be more original

If anything this will just drive players who are already sick of crappy events/offers away from the game.

New players will just go "there was an event ?" They won't even notice it and then eventually will also leave when they find out how terrible these "events" and "specials" are.

 

At this rate we'll get server merged in the next year(if that)

I'm sure this is the worst excuse for "events" ever but it's better than nothing at all.

 

I'm not sure it will drive people away *more* than no events but if it did... That would be odd.

originality and slightly different would be better but WG dont seem to have that in their business model. its like upper management are dictating to marketing that the max they can 'spend' is x in format y.

for those of you without stupid management in your jobs you'd be surprised just how thick senior management can be and they listen to no-one.

In my company decisions are taken using nothing more than the bottom line in a spread sheet ... totally ignoring known issues which ultimately costs stupid money to resolve ... and then its everyone elses fault bar the senior management.

So, double exp for first win, that's the "big plans" Ectar mentioned as upcoming release events 

 

I'm rather disappointed tbh, had hoped for something else then the usual, "double exp" they call an event.

Don't forget the huge amount of proofreading they do that contributes to the delays in publishing articles.

Well done Wargaming EU, must have taken you all of 5 seconds to come up with these "event rewards", after all the community hype leading up to WoWS going live this is truly underwhelming, maybe it's time the guys promoting this game rethink their game promotion strategies.

As could be expected, this regime of "2x XP" specials is just for the European Server. In the meantime the NA-server does manage to invent interesting contests & specials, even in the midweek.

In the meantime the NA-server has closed down their contests for EU-players who wished to participate, very likely because there was now an understanding that there will be uniformity between the servers, and that the EU will hold their own, equal, competitions & contests...
 

 Coordinating on contests and prizing with the EU has been a major priority as well, and I'm happy to say we've finally reached the point where we'll be able to have semi-uniformity among the regions.

If your persuaded to come over from the darkside and give this a go and your presented with these "specials", go back to tanks and look at their specials, come back here and look at our "Specials" again, well.....................
