Voice messages: Please include a check box to turn them off!

My first two games since the latest patch, and now I have to listen to that awful voice, that smug, sickly sweet, condescending voice when every "child" wants attention. You can't turn it off. Slide the voice messages slider to zero and its still there. Why not have a feature that disables it? Is there one that I have not spotted?

If not through UI, there will certainly come a mod which will disable the sounds ( not sure if they already can repack sound files, I guess so because we also have custom login sounds ).

I pressed F10 to say ''good luck'' and my TS overwolf started recording the battle !!!! Suppose we are still testing then :-)

I had the same Ctrl + Left click problem 2 patches ago. Last time I never bothered changing it and low and behold it works after this patch.

There are two solutions to this problem, one mute the sound which yes i know you'll lose the guns firing sound. Or option B head over to NA forum, look under mods and addons and check out ghostrecons solution to this problem, which i have to say is fantasic. my ears are so happy. Now then wargaming what bright spark came up with this idea? was it the same genius who tried it in another or your games having a second crack at the apple, if so a polite reminder that it didn't work there does not mean its going to work here.

It's be nice to have an ingame option to turn them off too, I can mute them for myself with the mod but I imagine other people will hear them I hit them because my damn screenshot key for example is on one of the F keys.

Brilliant feature from Wargaming. Voice messages in a mmo game so kids can spam it. There is a "voice" in the sound panel but it doesn't turn the messages off.

 

I wonder if the WG devs went to the same school like the devs that build this Russian space rockets that explode on the launch pad

Well, for me it's a blessing. We've been asking for something like this since Alpha and I don't know in your case but I've been already in 10 battles since the patch and never it's been utter spam. Maybe for just a moment at the beginning or end of a match.

its bad enough the chat box is full of this new spam but when your using teamspeak and all you hear when trying to talk to your division is these messages going off it can be a pain in the arse

Voice commands are good idea and welcome addition.

 

Fast and easy way to warn some BB who is sniping that a DD is RIGHT BEHIND YOU DUDE !  - you can write this in chat but it takes time you often don't have and its not attention grabbing as voice message.

I think that in time they will improve the teamplay.

 

As for spammers, I have met only 2. I silenced one of them with a well placed torpedoes. YES, I teamkilled on purpose, and everybody was thankful.

The other one was sailing straight for the enemies while spamming in bliss. Some BB took shot at him. Detonation from 1 hit.. Karma sure is a [edited].
