For every premium ship change, WG should offer a refund!

Just a thought. Because, you know, we paid for ships as they are, we don't want something that is paid for being nerfed and changed beyond recognition. From my collection first they changed Yubari to the worse, now it's completely useless and now I see that they want to change Murmansk, to replace its scout plane with fighter plane. I bought it especially for this unique configuration with scout and if that is gone, I want a refund.

 

This should be their policy - for every premium ship change, they should be forced to offer a refund.

WG have never (to my knowledge atleast) said that Premium ships wouldnt be subjects to changes, they dislike doing so, but they will happen for balance reasons....

While I agree, I think you should browse the EULA a bit Not WG's eulas, but in general. I think you'll have a heart attack

 

That said, they did offer a refund (in gold though, not in moneyz) in WoT once, as they nerfed a tank quite a bit. They will never offer a refund of any sort for "normal" nerfs/buffs/tweaks though. And in my experience, big companies don't do that, nor they let you actually own the game/items etc. (for example blizzard and many mmo making companies). In other words, fair or not, you have agreed to their eula once you clicked it and when I say you should read it I really mean it, I am not trying to be funny, it will give you perspective on video games and your relation to them as a customer in general.

 

That said, that doesn't mean we shouldn't rant, but that's about it.

Well, with the right Captain skills and a scout plane a Murmansk can hit targets up to +17Km. This is a real problem for Tier V battleships.

 

Probably stats are showing it.

I think people are diving into spending money on video games without actually understanding and consenting to the rules. That's why every game forum has the same topics about purchases popping every week.

 

Essentially, is a douche move to change an item you have bought with real money - perhaps it is. But that's beside the point, as game companies aren't state-owned bakeries for the poor, but private businesses, who often have very clear EULA's - which nobody reads. I read a few and it was enough to know what I'm dealing with, so when I decide to spend money on something, I know what I am getting into. EULA isn't just a bunch of boring letters. But always, ALWAYS, not some, but majority of people skip on them, which is fine, but it's pretty nonsensical to complain about things you haven't informed yourself about and decided to dive in regardless.

I would never do something like that as I like to know what could happen with my money/product.

 

Go buy a hero in blizzard's Heroes of the storm - an example, as blizz is a big "non-belarussian company", for those "bias" dudes out there. See the hero BUTCHERED with nerfs (way more than any ship or tank will EVER be, that's the nature of the genre). Try and ask for a refund. You will be pointed to EULA. NO REFUNDS. That said, WG actually DID refunds with superpershing, which is a precedent, not something to be expected.

Long story short, ANYTHING can happen to your purchased item. ANYTHING. And you won't get a refund. Because, you have "rented" that item rather than "bought" it and the item is subject to change and can also be taken away from you for the lulz. As can your account. Even if you weren't doing bannable things. Because they "hold the right to blahblah" with everything related to the game - in order to protect themselves.

Which is perfectly natural.

 

I have no problem with that, so I tend to buy stuff in games - but I ALWAYS know what I can expect and decide in my mind whether or not I will make the purchase. So should you.

Yes, you get mad range but you also get crazy dispersion + shell travel time. That skill is useful even if you don't have the scout plane.

When 6 cannons are firing HE shells every 4,5 seconds you can allow yourself some dispersion. Actually, I have hammered New York battleships from 16-17 Km from 100% to 0 HP.

Anyway, there will always be a "Murmansk" ship. The only problem is that if it is too good it will happen for a limited period of time. Today is the actual Murmansk, tomorrow she will have another name. WG needs to sell ships. People need to have fun.

Even if he is not, I am. I have bought ship in order to have one premium cruiser that can fire to long range and I have built captains skills especially for that configuration in mind. Now, I don't really care about whiners that cry that every ship is OP, because WG made it as is and then sold it to us for real money. On the other hand, it is not some magical ship that cannot be dealth with, since I always kill other Murmansks with ease, but this sh*t about nerfs when noobs cry for it really has to stop! I have seen it too many times in WOT and I am sick of it. If WG was a parent, it would have a bunch of spoiled brats.

 

Now lets talk abour real comparison when it comes to premiums. Imagine that you buy a car, with some nice extras and those extras were main reason why you chose that car over some other, from the same company, that doesn't have it. After a month, your car seller tells you "I am really sorry, we must remove your extras because other customers complained that they don't have them in their cars as well. Oh and btw, you will not be refunded."

Although WG have all the rights to change any ship stats at will, there is still some legal concerns when buying ships with real money, instead of gold.

 

If you buy gold, then use the gold to get a premium ship, then WG can just laugh at you while they turn the ship into a floating banana with water cannons.

Afterall, you got what you paid for.... Gold. (or dubloons, w/e).

 

But any ship bought direcly with real money, falls under the same sale laws as any other merchandise. Or something like that... Denmark have some rather strict laws about theese things...

WG can offer refunds in gold, if the ship is bought with gold. Then thats a nice gesture of them.

But they cant just offer refund in gold, if the ship is bought with real money.

 

Think there could be some legal issues with this, if its actually brought to court. Wich I hardly think anyone will for a cheap ship like Murmansk...
