In 2014 the cypriotic stock market ( headquarters of the russian WG ) has announced the shares of the company as not valid because WG denied submitting and publishing its annual and quarterly fanincial statement to the respective commitee.

The link ( in greek ) is cited:
http://www.sigmalive.com/inbusiness/news/business/services/xak-diagrafei-titloys-wargaming

What the above means? Apparently tax embezzlement or avoidance.

The company should prove us all about its moral and legal activities presenting us evidence.

It really has nothing to do with us. I just play the game. Maybe it was an accounting error, who knows. Quite honestly I don't care. If they're doing anything illegal they'll get caught out, but other than this they don't have to prove anything to us.

Unless you're a stockholder or part of the Cypriotic goverment, then they have no obligations whatsoever to do that.

If you have problems with their "morals" then you can just bugger off and not use their products.

Really, this has to be the most absurd attempt to trashtalk WG yet.

Have you seen what goes on at FOXCONN? Yet people still go buy Apple products. And what about Exon Mobil, but you still use gasoline right? Hey do you ever get McDonalds? What about Starbucks coffee?

As far as morality goes denying publishing your quarterly accounts is not exactly hard core villainy compared to the modern corporate world.

in greece since the days they were ruled by the turks, tax avoidance has been a national sport.

also their tax laws are even vaguer than the italians (the italians generate 3 sets of accounts - one for you, one for the shareholders and one for the govt - all different)

ps most brutal tax laws are in germany ... Uk is cuddly and warm in comparison

It means that they didn't submit the required data... that's it.

The rest (why they didn't submit the data) is just speculation.

And bunch of many other things they did, like paying people with virtual goods for work in the beginning of WoT, which is illegal in Europe, who cares...

I find the subject interesting, not because of trash-talking WG but because this can effect the game in the long run. I do not care what they do with regards to taxes and stuff, but I care about the game.

Well, what's going to happen is that they'll be fined for the neglect and if they do present he required documentation nothing further. The reason why is far more interesting, since it is 100% certain that a company of WG's size will not "forget" things like this. It might be anything from not having the correct balances in the correct accounts and needing a few extra days for some transfers to go through to hiding their financial status until some important deal was signed. Of that we can only speculate however, as WG will likely just pay their fine, turn in the paperwork and never speak of it again, not really anything strange or unusual.

LOL seriously? WHY DO YOU THINK THEIR NEW HQ IS LOCATED IN CYPRUS IN THE FIRST PLACE? Just for fun? It's located there for tax evasion, lots of Russian companies and billionaires do it as well. And when you own stock in a Cypriotic bank you can save even more money from the greedy tax collector.

Well as WG have just finished their new HQ building there and will be moving in at some point and they haven't up sticks and fled back to Eastern Europe, I'd guess it's a minor thing.
