ulthien Players 31 posts 7,382 battles Report post #1 Posted September 26, 2015 It seems to me that the same (business model, product management) error that struck down World of Warplanes is haunting WoWS:If you spend real life money to buy a premium ship(s) in premium shop, they give no advantage in the game. To explain: The credits earned are on par or level to the ones your in-game ships bring. So the broad public will have no reason to buy and play the premium ships, which then do not earn money (neither for the player nor for the business model of WT). It is much better strategy to simply avoid premium ships and earn comparable credits with regular ships as they also ADVANCE your exp for the ship, too.================================================= Not sure what the arguments on WT side are, why should users spend RL money on premium ships at all? In WoT, the premium tank usually brings DOUBLE credits.
[ST-EU] Admiral_noodle Supertest Coordinator 6,337 posts 4,395 battles Report post #2 Posted September 26, 2015 So. I'm not a tanker. I bought premium ships because I wanted the ships... Only later did I find out that they are "supposed" to generate more XP and credits. That said they DO earn more silver. I can make 200k profit in Tirpitz and 400k in Murmansk. I can't do that in my non prems (not quite). Also the Murmansk and Tirpitz are joys to play.
ulthien Players 31 posts 7,382 battles Report post #3 Posted September 26, 2015 I earn same money with Omaha as i do with Murmansk (statistically). Atop, i advance the ship by 4k as in this match, to climb the tech tree... WHY should a player play a premium APART from fun (e.g. Tirpitz being a preffered target to destroy for all )
Echelon2k Beta Tester 132 posts 13,822 battles Report post #4 Posted September 26, 2015 Credits and Xp are earned through damage. I believe the repaircost of premiumships is much lower than that of their regual tier counterparts. This in turn let's them earn more especially in higher tiers. ulthien Players 31 posts 7,382 battles Report post #6 Posted September 26, 2015 Also, you guys paid 40€ for Tirpitz, that will be earning +/- 10% as Bismarck will when it comes out.

Yeah this was the plan but somewhere along the line they scrapped that. The Murmansk and Atago for example do not have better repair costs than their regular counterparts. Also, you guys paid 40€ for Tirpitz, that will be earning +/- 10% as Bismarck will when it comes out. Yeah this also bugged me when the ship as introduced and I was very skeptical. What I am also skeptical about is how the performance of the Tirpitz will be compared to the Bismarck. Either the Bismarck will be tier 7 or it will have vastly superior stats to the Tirpitz. I mean, logic and past experiences would say that a premium ship would never be better than it's regular counterpart right?

But please dont limit those photos to only first view. That view includes premium+flags+first win of the day+missions IN the picture below i didnt have premium. I had %20 money flag and i guess 2x for the first win and %50 experience flag. Missions added 10k credit and a bit of free exp i guess.

Your battle performance on murmansk is 2x mine and you got only +50% credits up. With that performance, Omaha would have earned same money AND direct exp atop. As it is they usually give a bonus to earnings and most of them are fun to play (remember fun?). There's also the small matter of being able to bounce captains around them to bring up their skills quicker with more first win bonuses. Although training up a DD skilled skipper in the Warspite presents its own problems......

I want a low tier premium DD or low tier premium cruiser in IJN tree so i can train my DD captains. I dont want to traing a DD captain in stock kagero that was painful
