I remember way back, when I was reading devs Q&A when the game wasn't even in alpha yet, that this concept was what they were working on. When I first played the game on the Weekend Beta tests (before Closed beta) I was surprised to see this wasn't the case.

 

You know what's funny? back in that time, I actually believed that this dev team was something different, that they cared about making warships the most and wanted to make a fun game. Now I just don't believe that anymore. To them, WoWS is just a money-milking business.

I doubt it's the dev team. They do not make the decisions. In fact they most likely facepalm at a lot of them just like we do it.

 

 

It is pretty obvious management does not want to make the best game they could make.

It's a business decision. I think they are wrong, but that won't change their mind.

They said it's normal if full squadron barely handles float fighter and damaged one can even lose. Read better...

That they said, not the first one. I do not know who needs to read better, but it's definitely not me.

Thanks for the updates, would be nice to see this information posted by WG staff on the main page and game launcher but I understand how difficult it is for WG EU to, you know, actually do some work. :trollface:

- Devs do not believe that destroyers above tier 5 are "virtually unplayable" (as said by the asker) but they know about the problems with them, and he said that destroyers at high levels require "system enhancements" (I assume it is the capping xp and stuff like that).

- Currently, not being able to bind an action to the "C" key is a mistake and will be fixed. "Shift" key however, is reserved. In the future, devs will work on updating the setting on medium term including finalizing the key bindings.

- The reason there's no  Keiserliche marine flag is because the organization considered radical and is banned in "several German lands!

- Premium ships are sold in different regions depending on demand. Just because some premiums are nit being sold today in a region doesn't mean it never will in the future.

I can't be the only one that finds this just slightly comical... "OH NOES, this WWI flag is abused by some neo-nazis, so let's replace it with a slightly modified nazi flag... Ahhh much better!"

The problem is not the available prem ships at a said time,the problem is the stupid overpriced and "useless" packages that come up with,and from what i've seen EU has a tradition in it....

That was because they apparently got a 40 000 signatures from Korea against having the IJN naval ensign. The fun part is that in the entire Asia region, only 7 000 is playing at the moment.

 

I have no idea about the German flag, though.

This is a Link to the german "Verfassungsschutz" (Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution) and a brochure to "forbidden Symbols and organisations"

Page 49 3.2 Titel Reichskriegsflagge (1876-1921)

In short - and bad english (sorry that). There is no law or restriction to have/Show this flag. But if jused for "nazi propaganda"/ political propaganda police is allowed to confiscate it.. and so on.

Last time i checked Korea wasn't in the EU. Who knows, that might have changed since then.

Or at least the community relations staff who are actually getting paid to, you know communicate with the community. As if DD's aren't already gimped enough; again, why don't they just scrap the entire class if they hate it so much, rather then doing everything they can to discourage people from playing them?

 

The interesting question is: Now that they realized that it was a terrible idea that could never work, are they going to at least attempt to make DD's viable, or are they going to leave the attempts to make them terrible in place so that even that they aren't 1/4 th as good as a CV/BB they are pretty damned far from being equal?

Well, we knew beforehand that they were going to sport good survivability, simply because it is extremely hard to hit them at maximum range. But I didn't think that they would deal most damage as well, at least not on low tiers.

But we'll have to wait and see how it pans out. Right now there are probably a disproportionate amount of good players testing them.

 

EDIT: Is it his/hers stats, or server stats? Wasn't that clear

I think it the average server stats on October 19.. so basically, a one day average stats.

 

There was also stats for the ratio of the new ships played compared to the old ships too. But I didn't find that interesting to share.

- Replying to a question about how many new branches will be released until the new year, the dev answered "already did" (so I guess no more new regular ships until 2016).

- So far, no plans to introduce special medals named after famous people like how it is in WoT (Radley Walters medal for example).

- replying to a question about the website gamemodels3d and whether we will have something like that in the game client, dev says they are working on a prototype but no promises.
