Agree, doubt the Dutch will get their own tech tree for the reasons you mentioned. Maybe some premium ship, stand alone or in some sort of a joint european line just like the pan asia line.

By the way, James_White said the next nation would be unexpected. In no way does it mean that this nation will have a fully developed tech tree. I mean Pan-Asia and Poland are nations present in the game, but they don't have full tech trees. It's up to speculation, but this new nation may very well have only one or two premium ships and the third announced branch will be from one of the nations already present in the game.

Just keep in mind that a new nation doesn't necessarily involve a full new branch.

 

True but then he said there may be either a French or Italian premium this year so, unless they add this unexpected nation prior to that, may lead people to speculate about a line rather than just a premium(unless you consider France or Italy unexpected but I doubt that considering they were two major naval powers). In any case until there's new info it's all up to speculation.

 

I know, they'll create a Balkans navy line. Combining Austro-Hungary, Greece, and Turkey (or Turkey, and Greece if you prefer).  Gets Austro-Hungarian Navy, Greek Navy (including former American Pre-Dreadnoughts), and Turkish navy. Since some of the Turkish and Greek battleships were also models used by Britain and France Wg can kill 2 birds by reskinning some of their ships. In fact 2 of the Turkish BB's were at Jutland on the British side. LOL

 

They could just make a Pan European tree and add also nations such as Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Romania and so on. Then again who knows if the Pan Asian one would get other nations or only the two Chinas.

Well could be nice the Australian heavy cruisers they designed since that ship would be somewhat different from the British ones. Then again we shall see

Define "deserve a place". If they talking about premium ships there are several candidates beside France and Italy. I guess that ship will depend more from player base of some country than its navy historical contribution to the war. If, for example, Balkan provide more players than Scandinavia I think there is better chance to see some Yugoslav, Romanian or Greece ship.

Well I think just counting the players from a specific country and add stuff with that in mind is a bit simplistic. Let's make an example shall we?

 

We have two countries(X and Y so it's totally neutral), with one(as example X) having more players than the other. Meanwhile the interest for the ships from Y is higher in the other countries(ie in the server population as a whole). If you focus your efforts on X(taking into account that the population of X is higher than the population of Y) the players from X may benefit from that but the general population won't.

 

This is just an example of course but still proves a point: if you don't see the whole picture there may be issues(see the Russian/UK as example). Granted this takes into account only the "marketing" aspect and not the technical ones(how easy is to acquire access to the archives, how cooperative such archives are, how long does it take to model the ships etc etc).

True but then again getting enough information should be easy enough(process it on the other hand depends on how you do it).

 

Well I haven't said anything about contribution to the wars and such in fact, just about how much the customers want this nation instead of another. Then again the marketing part is just one aspect of the whole plethora of reasons as I said above.

It is quite a cool mod indeed.

The only problem is that the British voice is actually American English. They are working on fixing it. They are also planning on implementing it in the client, but we don't know when.

On the same topic, they have several voice packs over there with developers voices as announcers, including Dasha and Julca.

After having installed this mod, all voice commands will be spoken in the language of the nation the ship belongs to.

 

Languages supported :

Russian

English [british and American ships both have American English voice commands; British voice will be added soon]

Japanese

German

Chinese

 

Unfortunately, Polish isn't implemented and commands with the Blyskawica will be spoken in English.

 

Installation.

1. Download this file

2. Launch the .exe file [close the game beforehand]

3. Select the directory where the game is installed. Click on [установить] to complete the installation or [отмена] to cancel it.

4. Launch the client and enjoy.

​I dont think that will go well with the RN fanboys since most comenwealth ships were basical British designs to begin with. Also with RN CA/CL pretty much confirmed what should it be others than a DD line?

On the other Hand i wouldnt be too suprised if there was a Chinease techtree sudenly...real suprise as a money grap.

Was he really talking about that third (more like fifth) branch when commenting on an unexpected new nation?
If not, it could also just mean that an Argentinian, Brasilian or even Austro-Hungarian BB will be added as a premium.

Actually, I don't understand why they haven't done that yet, pump out at least one premium for absolutely every nation, to keep us happy and occupied until they have more branches for us to play with.

Well the Argentinan Navy had a an interesting mix of CA from Austrian designs over Italian to british build ones to finaly US Brooklyn ones. Theri DDs were as wide spaced incuding german designs.
