The cat is out of the bag and there is no return to the previous state.

With the new aim mod and the "old" aim mod, a can of worms got opened and WoWS has the next sh*t storm ahead.

Point is, mods/cheats like this can ruin a game and take the fun out of it or WG has a chance to finally do something and turn the current situation in a WIN.

I prefer equal chances for everyone.

Whats your opinion ? Please vote

they are going to break the aim assist again so dont worry about that. They probably accidently fixed the aim assist while encrypting.

its really more the question if WG should step up to the challenge and integrate Mods officially, even compensating the modders for there work and close all open doors.

How well the "open mod" concept works is in WOT visible

"i want a cheat free game" answers are quite restrictive.

Yes, but I want mods to work too. That would be my answer.

Face it, this new aim "mod" isn't à mod, it's a 3rd party program that run alongside your WoWS session. Mod restriction won't do a thing against that.

I use flag mods and a slot item mod, I prefer the authentic flags from the time the ships were about and the smaller slot items make finding my boats much easier as I never sell any (exc the odd T1 or T2).

Update: current vote

2% accept the chance / possibility of cheats

98% want a cheat free game, 80% so bad that they are willing to sacrifice all mods

Makes a 20% of the community who want mods really really bad which is understandable. Some mods are really useful or give the game a personal touch.

Whereas the vast majority of the community wants you WG to finally, after years, step up and take charge. 98% of the community are annoyed from unfair gaming, cheats etc. and this annoyed people are the ones who play a game after days work and are willing to charge the credit card. Give the users what they want:

Safe and fair mods for all

Step up, work out an agreement with the modders and integrate them in the game. A fair compensation for there work wouldn´t be too much to ask for ?

If this aim bot nonsense goes on, it might end up like in another WG game with Websites full of "expert cheats" up to the level where people pay for it and even League players use them (OM player and many others got banned).

I would say no mods and let WG sort out the UI not that i have any issues with it..

Nice unbiased poll, totally covers all possible stances and will give a clear and honest view of the community consensus after getting maybe 20 more votes!

I didn't vote... and I was sarcastic until admitting I didn't vote, but hopefully that was already clear :sceptic:

edit: and while posting, the poll is edited ( slightly )... I now voted :honoring:

if it is for everyone the same, then it is FAIR, and a FAIR game is what players want.

Situation during the test got rather toxic and that is the worst case, a situation that really could ruin the game.

It should be affordable for one of the highest profit earning game developers to create for the users, who really want it, an approved mod and include it in a way like Aslain does it for free ( just to name one of the many modders who provide good work)

I would like a mod store... Which is easy. I also play cities skylines (bit different obviously!) and they have mod lists you can simply *install*.

Then the core games gets an update and all the mods break but you can switch them off again easily.

If WG can't do this then I'd prefer no mods than widespread cheats.

What part of the question mod or no mod is for you biased ?

A simple yes or no poll where the users can express the customers opinion ?

Maybe you prefer a poll yes or yes ? Or, head wins, tail losses ?

You're poll lacked options to differ from cheats and mods until the edit which is clearly biased. Now there are at least options indicating you want mods ( or current mods incorporated into vanilla game / improved UI ) but not cheats.

I am actually satisfied with the ui and would neither see the necessity for mods or ui improvements by Wargaming.

So am i but i guess WG could simply include several UI layouts and let the user choose which they want.

Or even better - a menue for a modular UI that lets you choose specifically which components you want for your UI.

Yes! But to be honest I would rather modders did this and got them sanctioned by WG onto a mod store while the devs made us more ships and gameplay options :)

Mods are good, disabling them won't help at all with cheats. Those who cheat will always find a way. it will just stop the modding
