why they just don't implement it in the game?

that way anyone can use it, and for what i have read here the mod is not that effective as ppl paint it.

good players will always play well with or without aim assist.

Because aiming takes skill and I don't want crapplayers to be able to mimic my skill in aiming? If you don't want to spent the effort to learn the game, go play tic-tac-toe. If you are willing to spend

the time but don't possess the skillset needed to be really good at it, be happy with not being very good at it or go play tic-tac-toe.

However, you DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT, ask for cheat mods to be implemented in the game just because you're not willing or able to be as good as some others.

That is just ffin pathetic thinking, really ffin hilarious.

[edited]it doesn't work like that, good players who use this cheat can also use it to better predict turns, so this whole BS about 'it only works against noobs anyway' is getting old.

I need to?

Just look better!

Cheating is  cheating no matter which way you turn it!

Mod`s, Bots, Multihacks Injectors,or DLL-Files.

No matter what developers allow or not.

Lets get back to the definition of cheating:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheating_in_video_games

But after all that was not the core of what i stated in my first post.

And you are leading away from the core of my argumentation in the first place...

I really am sorry if i am missing it but, i don't understand how a Mod is the same as a cheat (and i do know the definition of cheating, thanks for the link though). If you found the definition of cheat though, how is it you see these, , as basically the same thing? For me they are not and i am certain there is a definiton fro each and every one of them. Meaning, a clear distinction between them. Furthermore, the Developer is the "God" of the game. Meaning, he applies the rules. Meaning, if they allow mods, they are not cheating by any means whatsoever.

Anyway, sorry for leading away, it still is relevant and all i do is asking exact facts and explainations as i do with anything really. Thank you for trying to answer though, it's much more than Dev teams and WG does. It's not a bad thing for ppl to disagree and accept the fact, i find it ok. Anyway, cheers. ;)

can say the same about your thinking

in that case don't use captain skills and ship upgrades, as for you thinking they also can be considered "legal" cheats, but as they are implemented in the game it's all fine.

also you get more xp and stuff with premium account...  paid cheating imo so don't come with that bull about mimic my skill.

and i would bet big time that a lot of the "top" players probably have so "good skills" thanks to aim assist....

i never understood why people use hacks in games. If u are not good enought to play a game or too lazy to improve your skills, whats the point, where is the fun of use hacks? this thing must be boring, are their lives so boring that they can even find some fun in playing games with the necesity of having some skills?

i agree that hacks shouldn't be allowed don't get me wrong, but if WG cant get a way around at least make it part of the game so every one can benefit from it and not only a few.

Do this with aim assist and you will alienate 99% of the playerbase and WoWs will sink faster than a Konigsberg meeting a broadside from a Fuso.... Honestly if you want to kill the game then implement aim assist.... I just don't understand why people bother to play with cheats... Where is the fun, the satisfaction of a good game.... How can you post your vids etc to show off... Dunno ... Suppose low life scum will always be low life scum....

On the other hand... If 99% of the playerbase are against aimassist, then what's the problem? That means there's only 1% who uses them. The chance of running into one would be quite insignificant. I mean aimassist as a mod, that is, not as a setting.

(I'm not defending cheats here, just saying)

So if I'm against aim assist but I don't use it but the 1% [edited][edited][edited] who do want to use it, and do actually use it, and according to you that is ok?

I'm saying it can't possibly be as bad as some people say, if it's 1%.

By the sound of some people in here, they are running into aimassist users left, right and center, like bees around honey, or flies around sh...

To be honest, there are far too many times I take a perfect volley as the first opening salvo from an enemy without any "fire for effect" going on. Just full broadside at maximum range slapping me even when doing all I can to be a hard target (zigging and zagging and fast and slow). I do raise my eyebrows when it happens.

I do believe that many more people are using this than people think.

No actually if you play the game long enough you can do this vanilla, no mods needed. Many if not most occasions where this happens will be just player skill and luck/rng.

The problem with the aim mod is that it creates doubt, doubt leads to salt, salt leads to toxicity.

edit: btw sorry BBV I'll try to give you less work instead of more :hiding:

edit2: Go take a look at Trigger_Happy_Dad's video's, I seen him getting accused of cheating lots of times.

What about this:

(opening salvo @ 1:05 @ enemy Kiev - 3 hits)

.....all aim-bot-hax-crap too?

Or could it be that I just know where to shoot after almost 3k games in OBT?

....some people....pfffffft.

This happened to me today in my Cleveland in ranked... I was zig-zagging (as always) in unpredictable pattern but perfect straddles without ranging shots from 15+ km from enemy BB (Fuso) got me - every time 5000-10000 HP was taken away... there was nothing I could do... lost 20000 HP after few salvos and had to retreat to make 20 km distance... but I was useless then (about 10000 HP left and far from action)...

Was it coincidence? Perhaps it was brilliant player? Who knows... but this raised my eyebrows...

If only the mod is also able to change trajectories of the shells mid air. Other than that it can only help shooting straight liners....

I honestly thought that people were just screaming 'cheat' because their own mistakes got them killed. I didn't realise there was a real cheat programme; I have been amazed at how some enemy ships have hit me time and time again in my DD when I am doing everything to dodge the rounds coming in, but in the end I put it down to the player being better than me! Even commented nice battle/shot/play when I got destroyed; a major down if he was cheating!

What does the bot do? I'd rather believe I got destroyed by someone better than me rather than wondering whether he was a cheat! :amazed: Going to Google search and see what it's about.

Ok found a YouTube clip that said the Mod was allowed, then when reading the comments from other players I'm pretty sure it's not lol. I would also worry if I was in a BB or large CA, but in my DD I move around so much I'm pretty sure that, if killed, it's probably down to a better player than a cheat (which makes me a whole lot happier; I think! :D).

I think that answer is not that simple...

For example, from watching those YouTube videos, one can see that even when target is zig-zagging the user of the "Aim Mod" can see how predictions are made and then simply quickly spray the suspected area (and not just fire everything in one single salvo)!

That's why I was not one-salvoed but my HP was taken bit-by-bit 5000-10000 at constant rate each spread...

This is also one more thing to consider - better player will benefit more from "Aim Mod" because they will be able to use it even more than novice players who will only fire volleys where predicted!

This is exactly what should happen when you sail a cruiser to challenge a battleship that isn't busy, you get your [edited] handed to you. Especially in Ranked mode, you should expect ppl to be very familiar with their ships and score some hits on any target in their range.

If only the mod is also able to change trajectories of the shells mid air. Other than that it can only help shooting straight liners....

Ofc it helps against all targets, since it shows the precise point where a straight-going ship would be, as starting point to estimate effect of turning. Also as you know, ship movement in turning has a tendency to "slide" a little towards the direction that you were going at, so it takes even more time to really change your ship's heading enough to completely evade a volley aimed according to your previous course. Usually, a bigger ship that wasn't already in the process of turning when shot at, tends to take some hits anyway regardless of after-shot evasive emergency turning unless we're talking extreme ranges.

But like you said, it's the straight-liners that risk getting totally rekt, that I won't argue with.

It's hard to tell who uses aim mod or if one even exist at the moment.

In my last battle, we had this kongo on our team. He sailed close to me and another fellow bb for most of the match. All the salvo I saw from him, always hitted the targeted enemy perfectly. And he bragged about it everytime.

When match were over (and we won), he had killed 5 enemy ships, and gotten over 3000 xp in scoreboard. Where number 2 player had around 1500. With every of his hit, he said and I qoute:  "kongo baby, try it people" "omg so many citidal hits, YEAH"

He could be a super pro, I have no clue. But I can't remember when I last time saw someone like this, hitting so much in every salvo and be THAT far ahead in the xp final scoreboard.

Not that hard, just compare the current performance with their historical one and it would shine a light on the possibilities. Conclusive, no since it's not hard evidence, but it can be quite the indication. People don't just 'suddenly' get better.

Meh I just wish this cheat would die asap, or better yet, WG to add a dection ability to the client and record over a month time the cheaters before starting to perma ban them all.
