why no unified gold?

I guess they are waiting for much more players reaching high-very high Tiers. Today the majority of players are at Tier V-VI. Allowing unified gold you allow a lot of WoT players (like me) to jump directly to Tier X in one or more tech trees. Maybe in 6 months or one year, maybe.

I wish they would never unify the account, because it leads to the bs we are already witnessing with the Atago and Tirpitz noobs. I don't want idiots in high tier matches that don't have any idea about how the game and the ships they're playing work. WG is already buffing the Atago, which is ridiculous by the way, although it's not the ship that is underperforming, but the wallet warrior noobs that play them. They should implemetn noob-filters, like you need to have the same type of ship on the same tier of the same nation to PLAY(not buy) the premium ships in random battles. For coop it doesn't matter that much. This is not elitism but provident concern about the bad influence the unification could have on the gameplay.

My problem is that WG is saying that you can't have the gold that you own (on WoT, but that they promised you can use), because you can use it to convert XP to get to tier X too fast.

But you can buy these new shiny doubloons for use only in WoWs to accelerate your progress. (because what else are you going to do with it? 90% of the prem ships can only be bought in bundles directly for money anyway)

They also say they will do things in RL too, and don't (and that is a legal requirement too) so I don't think they're going to worry too much about any false advertisement threats.

 

They won't be swayed by anything, other than a lack of revenue. This will get their full, undivided attention, immediately.

 

Keep paying their ridiculous prices and they will keep charging them, maybe even increase them

What good would it do to release a horde of not skilled enough players(noobs) into the higher tiers of WoWs? MM is fucked up enough already, even without noobs in high tier lacking game experience.

And in another topic from the days of OBT, Ectar said that "gold unification will happen around the time the game goes live". Why it hasn't, is anyone's guess. My guess is that WOWS failed to have the expected impact and influx of players, let alone players who are new to the Wargaming-cluster (that is: not veterans of WOT and WOWP). This results in generating WAY less income than anticipated, and since the majority of the players ingame do already have gold in one of the two games, making them unify with WOWS, will result in a migration of existing gold, not in a purchase of new one.

 

It's not that WG really needs that measly sum of extra money, they already reaped well with the selling of imaginary goods and digital pixels.

 

So when did WG change their minds, I wonder? Or did they lie to their staff too?

I decided to not spent more money on WoWs, not before I can use my still >30k gold from WoT which I been using for premium time. Well I would be willing to buy the ship alone, but I will not pay for doubloons pushed down my throat because WG wants more money and only offers us 'bundles'.

Tbh that is quite likely, as I would then have more trust about availability of in game items I can buy with doubloons ( like premium ships ) if not now then in the future. But as it is, I'm having less faith than required to warrant having more doubloons in my account.

 

I'm not 100% sure mind you, I might still be to vexed about the lack of choice for EU cluster, but the chance of me saying 'f it, let's just hope for the best' would be present.
