EL_n00b Players 37 posts 3,190 battles Report post #26 Posted September 17, 2015 Um... is it actually legal to call it a special offer if it is de facto more expensive than the regular offer? This is illegal under EU consumer laws false use of "limited offers" and or "special offers" are not allowed under EU consumer laws. http://ec.europa.eu/justice/consumer-marketing/unfair-trade/unfair-practices/is-it-fair/blacklist/index_en.htm

Syrchalis Players 1,401 posts 3,820 battles Report post #30 Posted September 17, 2015 I noticed this as well when I looked at it. One thinks at LAUNCH they would give you a significant discount - I'm talking 50% here at LEAST. Heroes of the Storm Launch - every player who bought a Stimpack (=Premium) got another one for free. In other words, you bought 60 days of premium for the price of 30. And that offer is NOT limited. Every new player gets it once. Every week increasing permanent XP boost (= for every game played, not just the first) for a whole month. Every MOBA ever: Weekly sales, 50% off certain things (not a launch-related thing) Warships Launch: Scam offer with no discount at all Outside of Launch: No offers at all Why do they not do an event that gives you 50-100% bonus XP EVERY game? Seriously? There is too few high tier players anyway.

Dude, this is EU, we have limited privilege But yeah, no nothing whatsoever...no wait, they did that tripitz thing where u bought the tripitz and some other useless autistic sh*t that noone wanted just so ScamGaming can make huge profits for it... Oh and let's not mention how they made some ships unavailable in the ingame store but only in the premium shop so the gold you bought will be useless for a while longer... It is a limited offer you cant normally buy Port slots outside the game NO where in the offer douse it say its cheaper than any other method of getting the same. No where douse it say its the only way to get Prem time or port slots its advertised as a start pack The only Point you could Maybe say it comes under is False use of 'Limited offers': “Special offer, today only!” Falsely stating that a product will only be available for a very limited time, or that it will only be available on particular terms for a very limited time, in order to force an immediate decision. This deprives consumers of sufficient opportunity or time to make an informed choice. But even this douse not count as the offer is for 10 days

[COSTS] Hanszeehock Alpha Tester 3,692 posts 5,959 battles Report post #36 Posted September 17, 2015 If you live in the UK, this is how it works out: The offer: 4 port slots and seven days premium = £7.17 Bought separately: 7 days premium = £3.85 (actually if you buy in game - it costs £3.65 at the below 'exchange rate') 4 Port Slots = 1,200 dubloons (2,500 dubloons = £7.30 @ 0.00292 per dubloon x 1,200 = £3.50) So total is £3.85 + £3.50 = £7.35 You save 17 pence on the shop price !!!! However, if you buy your premium in the game you lose 3 pence. This is a very silly 'offer' indeed

[WG] MrConway WG Staff, Alpha Tester 3,411 posts 4,389 battles Report post #42 Posted September 17, 2015 Just to calm everyone down: This package is not intended to be a super special release package. The only reason it is marked as special is the fact that it is time limited and the premium shop displays this automatically. It is put up as a starter kit with the most purchased items for a new player. The price difference is due to the premium shop rounding.

I for one would have bought at least 10 if they were on a WOT like 50% off. These same People sore this offer went WOW COOL Port slots offer!!!!! Wait a Minute. Okay, so as what is it intended then? As a way to try to pry money from unsuspecting fresh players who don't check the forums and/or haven't got a clue about what the regular prices of the components are?
Suranis1 Beta Tester 118 posts 463 battles Report post #50 Posted September 17, 2015 MrConway, as I said in the announcement thread, I don't blame you personally for this or the lack of oomph on launch day. That wasn't your decision. You are just the guy that had this landed on you and its not your fault. But seriously dude, this is just not up to the drill for a release of a potentially major game. And an excuse of rounding errors does not cut it to a package that is marketed at new players. On Launch day. You had better drag someone kicking and screaming away from their pile of cocaine and tell them to get something going in a big hurry. And telling people to watch frigging streamers isn't going to do it. This is a pr disaster of Sodom proportions.
