How would you describe the launch of WoW?

True, but again. It was a little bit of ships, some questions that didn't really get much response and then immediately back to tanks. It seems like it was just gotten out of the way asap. At least to me.

Nailed it ^^

But QB gave away 6 prem ships! :hiding:

So what you're basically saying is that a whole 6 people benefited from the launch while the rest got what exactly? That sounds pretty much like a 'launch' full of [edited] to me as a player. Of course mega publicity for Quickybooby and WG due to the massive following of sheople spamming their streams hoping to win. 6 winners, thousands of losers? The launch was about as pleasant as an unlubricated anal probe with a cactus. Typical of WG to make a hype about it, [edited] it up and then remain quite as if we're all ingrates begging for free stuff :P

Sarcasm: the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny.

The way the game is launched says all there is to say about the game game.

We don't believe in our own product!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The word weak dosen't even begin to describe this launch. I expected at least some new content, a map or two and maybe a ship. But so far all I have seen is a offer that is slightly worse then a standard offer and NOTHING else. 3xp? Yeah I played one game on each ship that it mattered and then that was that.

If any other studio would call this "a Launch" the crititics would crucify them.

Now dear WG I have money that I was going to spend in your premium shop but the good folks at Steam needs/deserve them better. Good night.

(and those of you that say that WG dosen't care about me or my money....well yeah...that's kind of the problem here....they should)

I would describe it as Fail. From QB's stream we could hear that next nation that is coming and it coming really soon is Germany. After that Soviets and last the British. At least I could hear about future plans... Really bad marketing and all that but there is like 10 threads about it so...

Lame. Abject failure. Pointless waste of time.

I like the game and I want to be able to get more mates to play it with me, but when I have to warn them about crappy trap deals gouging new players it does not . . . speak well of the game.

Sarcasm: Lowest form of wit? I did catch your sarcasm in case you thought I was making a jab at you. Like you I did go to school once too, but only once. I used your post as a pedestal to add my own 'love' for their 'brilliant' launch event'. But thanks for the reminder of the definition, back in the day if someone uttered anything sarcastic we'd simply have him incarcerated and forgotten. Tough times those. Luckily the internet saved us all by opening doors to many other accepted applications of the word. It's a brave new world and behind our screens we're known as the untouchables right?

Been concerned for a while now. From CBT to OBT something hasn't been right. I'm wondering if the WoW team has been rushed, in CBT the game seemed to be going at a nice steady pace and in the right direction but since OBT the game has been rushed and not heading in the right direction. To me the game seems a mess, the communication is dire. The events are dire and now on open day, it's like WoW just sank. Something aint right but maybe it's just my suspicious mind.

So much this.

In CBT I dismissed all saying this will be a flop. But slowly I am starting to get really concerned. Going into OBT, with a barely tested patch that had a lot of changes. Then after a minimum time (and basically no change from OBT) we go into a release that mainly went: "hmm, x3 today? ... Oh... release-day".

We went into OBT too early and then instantly rushed into a released state.

This game is FAR from being released. Off the top of my hat I can name the following issues/bugs: chat system (not working or deleting after every game for example, no division chat), no depot, major balance issues, only 2 countries out yet (even though the awesome marketing team goes: We have 5 countries! ... yeah... with premiums you do. Good job), LOADING TIMES!, memory leak bugs, no optimization.

Ugh I grow depressed stating all of these problems that have been around since CBT. But no, this game is ready to be released to the general public.

So yeah, I have grown really concerned about this game in the past few months.

Well this was disappointing, I neglected to read the updates when launching for a few games today, did my usual ritual of intending on grinding my Wyoming but then losing desire so playing one game in my DD. To my horror, I discovered the game had 'launched', having always though it was going to be released this Saturday (seriously who launches a game on a Thursday wtf?!)

This launch is a shambles and dare I say it's doomed WoWS, it's certainly putting me off from sinking any more time and eventually money into it, a game that the company that made it can't even be arsed to peddle a little.

they are literally taking the biscuit i dont understand the reasons why eu gets such a weak opening we dont evan get the tirpiz on sale witch is well annoying because i was on holiday when it came out so never had chance to buy one you would think that whey would want all our money but clearly not then they give out a package that is  6% cheaper is that really what they think of the eu players give us a break we give u alot of money so show us some respect.

I write this exactly because i'm alpha tester. After witnessing a year of the game development i'm absolutely disillusioned about the future. If you call this cynism, you will be right - but then think why it is like that.

When even the Alpha and Supertesters  are a bit upset by this it is something to be concerned about - No players = No game!

As I posted on the Announcements section WG is not even bothering to take our money - Many Tirpitz and Warspite would have been purchased if made available as a launch special for EU but WG didn't think it was worth bothering with us.
