Ranked Battles

Just one Question why can't all the teirs be involed in the ranked matches seems a bit dippy not to have the others, also there is NO, I repeat no MM in War so could some one be gracous enough to enlighten me on why only those two teirs thks.......

 

The reason is that the more you divide people in different groups, the larger population is necessary for the MM to create games. You're only eligible to meet maybe 20% of searching players when you queue. In ranked, players are already separated by rank into much smaller player pools, to divide players by tier as well means reducing that pool even further so that queue time becomes so long that people stops playing.

2 games 2 wins. Going well so far! communication is better but then I've started by appearing competent then ordering my team mates around - which helps and so far they've listened. Both games with 2 cap points have been very good. The second game had 2 dds per side and it got frantic

 

Three cap points is not good.

How noobs WG devs are they put up domination ranked battles and the dont balance the dds, fire them

That's it I have had enough of the ranked battles already, it's like everyday is idiot day either that or I'm really unlucky with teams, 3 times today the cruisers rush off and are dead within 2 mins

Well played 9 games,and it goes like this,win 1,lose 1,win 1,lose 1 until the last game i played and it was another win,so now i am lvl 24 

But will play it for awhile and see what happens in it.

This thread became rather ironic when I opened the OPs stats page. Not bad, but not great either, especially considering the amount of games in ships often regarded as OP. Murmansk, Cleveland, Minekaze... Well, Atlanta is kind of a mixed bag from what I hear.

 

But overall, maybe those window lickers had learned something from the game if the OP hadn't farmed them in his 121 sealclubber-Umikaze-games

Had a few games yesterday and they are a lot more enjoyable than the standard battles.. people actually try and worth togeather.

 

Ok I only did 5 ranked battles yesterday and won 4 of them but I enjoyed it a lot more than the standard ones.

SO, when you play your first games you have to start from the bottom?

 

Does that mean... When I actually have time to participate ranked battles, I have to start by playing with worst players? (instead of starting somewhere middle ground)

As previously posted, unfortunately the 'window lickers' have arrived..... I was well and truly targeted by by a poor soul who I sent to the bottom who mentioned gypsy, my aunt, what I ought to do with myself with an appendage and more.... problem is I laughed so much I could not respond quickly enough to say thank you....

 

But, that aside the mode does have its upside and that is those that want to work together and of the 3 battles I have yesterday in Ranked battles in two of them there was a lot of active suggestions and agreement in chat. Rocky start but I am sure that the core who play them will be decent, we will sink the rest

Yes thats how it works you have to work your way up..  you usually start at the bottom and work your way up in this like this its how its always been.

It's hard to talk about ranked battles from level 25 perspective. At the moment ranked battles are similar to random.

No. To say anything about rankeds, you have to move up from 25-21 jungle

Yes. And I think that's a mistake. You should start middle rank and be able to go up and down. Oh well. I'm at 23 now.

First ranked battle game: AAA Cruisers Atlanta's buggered off and left me in my Warspite, and IJN BB alone, result we got plastered by enemy DD, and CV, down to very low HP, but since we had capped all three points we won on points with only 3 ships sunk per side. One Gold Star

 

Second ranked battle game. Took out the Mutsuki, took two cap points. Team stayed together, but too far away from cap points, ememy put a cruiser on each cap, team sat at back of the map, no agression, we lost again on points. Lost gold star.

 

Two games, very quick, both with minimal ships sunk, both lost or won on points. The points system is no good. It is over too quick. Gold stars should be awarded to top 2-3 of each team for damage done, regardless of loss or victory, otherwise its just a short normal battle with progression stars aquired through random chance. It does not sort the good from the bad at all. Another epic fail for Wargaming, who do not understand what the customer wants.

Maybe you should play more than two games.

How do you think you should get sorted among thousands of players after two games?

why players cant level up with their performance?

 

top 3(4) players in xp will get their stars, bottom 4(3) players will loose their stars. in both team

Yes it's a marathon not a sprint. Might take hundreds of games to get to higher ranks but at least you don't go down in the early ones

Ok, thank you for clearing that up. How ever, in launch everyone basicly started from the same level, which made it midlevel. Now that games are played, it has turned into bottom level, because the good players have progressed away, towards rank 1. What this means, is that when I start playing, the quality of my team is actually worse... That is ok though. I don't have problem with that. I take it as challenge

I'm out of ranked battles.

Reason:

 - no teamplay;

 - low XP and low damage, low credits income - everybody wants to cap and end the battle;

 - full of ret@rds with no skill - I know I'm not a good player, but seems that ranked battles are full of players with skills like in tier 2-3, and they are playing 6 and 7.

3 games and I'm making loads of XP and credits. Also short games mean more games. Also I wonder if the smaller teams just makes you notice the bad players more

 

I'm going to grind the New Mexico in ranked just to see what happens.
