Scilya Beta Tester 145 posts 937 battles Report post #3 Posted September 17, 2015 (edited) well so far im haveing fun, the teamwork is much more apparent and chat is active. i had 4 great games all wins, for the most part everyone played a part. annnnd then the 5th game some guy started crying in team chat about 20 secconds in that we were noobs and stupid and the guy just went on and on so teamwork was to be had in this game and it all fell apart i died telling the guy to shut up and was a wholey frustrateing expirience. (and somehow they managed to win this one so respect) however overall i like ranked battles and i hope all the people crying noob and so on in chat will fall to the bottom ranks with any luck. but definatly fun feeling like you have something to win or lose with the ladder system. I'm only playing with people whose sole intention seems to be throwing the games. Oh we're 50pts from winning have 3 of the cap pts the enemy team are all at C they won't cap before we win. It takes ages to find a game! i'll go get something to eat... Talvathir i feel you mate... the only thing i can say is in those cases, try to ignore and try to give or ask for directives at the start of the match. Try to be 'that one guy' that always says 'nice job' when someone kills someone or 'don't worry we'll avenge you' when someone dies. That just rises the spirits of the people unless they are 12 year morons. Sometimes it doesn't work, but still. Worth a try! At least, for me that's working.... Hope it will for you too! If it provides players with more quality games it can only be a positive. If it turns out, that the playerbase still isnt capable of teamwork, even with a skill based mm, then wg will have shown why there wasnt a skill based mm in the first place. Typical games play so far... plan is made at start all head to B cap....so we head there, look one enemy cleveland grounded, 2 pensacolas hit HIM and stopped.... "Good going admiral" said my teammates... well yea, I carried that game hard! 3 friendly cruisers just minced around the edge not going towards the caps. We had to wipe them out to win...
