I don't like AW or WoT much. If there was another ships game and it was better then duh i would go play it.

(Don't get the fuss about invert mouse to be fair :) )

Can't say I see the fuss either, sounds daft. Have you played BS Pacific? If so, what did you think of it?

Lack of content. Not many maps. Only 2 trees atm to go though.

And before some one says wot started with less... well there are to many like games to compeat with.... wot, wt, aw   ect out there now so you got to try and keep your players intrested.

But instead they only been doing bundles when a lot of the player base have asked for the the ships on there own to be sold... in a way people saying hey WGing i want you to have my monies but not on bundles i dont want or cant afford.

2nd a lot of players wanting to invest there wot/wowp gold and free xp in to the game but also have been shown a door in the face.

Players wanting a good deal on port slots so they can keep ships they like and progress up the lvls and maybe in turn buy more gold to!

But all i see is WGing staff push it back in our face with all you want is free stuff and my ole fav soon maybe well we are looking in to it... maybe soon.

I know you cant wave a magic wand and it all be better but try to listen to your player a base a little or risk losing it.

If you don't use it, it doesn't mean it's daft, that's very self-centric and inconsiderate. The problem is similar to righ-hander and left-handed users. Only because you'd be right-handed, it doesn't mean everyone is and every single utility should be so adjusted.

Why Do players want inverse mouse controls, is it that hard to play the game without it?

If it is an option to have inverted controls, then i don't care, but if it is permanent, then it will mess with my head a bit and i have to get used to the inverse controls.

If it is that hard to play the game without inverse controls then until it comes (if it ever comes) you have to get used to the mouse controls that WG have put out.

An option, of course.

I can make due, if WoWs is the only game I play that evening. If I switch to it from, say WoT or WoWp, it really messes with my aim for the first couple of matches and I usually have to start playing with bots to "warm" myself up before going PvP. It's a nuisance, one that would be easily preventable. It's an easy thing to program and therefore really mind-bogglind they haven't included it yet.

Well, I can tell you why I, personally, am not playing ships more than a couple matches ever other day.

-really crappy specials

-account not unified yet

-still no invert mouse option, which is completely idiotic

-AW

If I had to only give ONE reason (out of many) as to why I don't play much nowadays, I'd say the battleship dispersion/accuracy vs Alpha damage really got annoying after a while... and I don't want to play other class of ships.

I agree with crappy specials, nothing like a new ship to rekindle that need to play for a few weeks.  But not wanting to shell out that much money (Tirpitz was 93$ CAD).

The game's still young tho, I'm giving it time and recharging my patience batteries to be able to stomach even more RNG from my main guns.

The only reason I don't play that much these days is a bug that World of Warships shares with World of Tanks - random frame rate drops, independent from settings - stuff gets worse the longer I play and forces me to effectively restart the game after like 5 matches.

I prefer longer sessions and the need to see the whole logging in and loading process over and over and over again is getting annoying - especially that both games are rather slow to initially load...

Lack of diversity in World of Warships also does not help - for a released game there is really not much content - random battles are largely the same as WoT equivalent in terms of principles - domination, while a nice touch giving SOME tactical need to the game, is not really a game changer. Ranked battles are effectively the same as random battles in terms of gameplay, just with smaller scale - and the fact that you WILL meet hordes of clevelands over and over and over again does not invite me to play at all.

Battles against bots, while fun and balanced are a mere learning tool viable only at low tiers due to tiny rewards.

Only two tech trees mean that you are bound to meet very similar team loadouts over and over again. Even though I personally don't care about clans, lack of clan system makes forming of a community pretty much impossible on any organized level.

I also get the impression that the ships get WAY harder to sustain without premium account on higher tiers in comparison to World of Tanks - in WoT tier 7 is perfectly sustainable without premium account. With tier 8 you basically always break out even in the end.

In WoWs - I've been loosing money at tier VII already - very early on in comparison to WoT. Now, the problem is the current UI in garage does not make it easy to track how much did you earn REALLY - you have to count it yourself.

Speaking of interface - the screens lack this couple of things, small utilities that are really meaningless but improve quality of life - like the summary report of your actual earnings, after subtracting the repair costs.

Basically - given the release of the game, World of Warships is lacking - it lacks many streamlined, polished features its bigger brother has. I don't expect the exact clone, sure, but the same quality of life improvements should already be there upon release.

The fuss about invert mouse is some of us have been using it for nigh on 25 years. The problem with not having it is when you go into a game it takes a little bit of time for your brain to adapt to it. When you leave WoWs to play, I don't know, pretty much any other game you have the same disorientation going into that game.

Considering how easy it is to implement into the game, the fact it is in their other games it should be a no-brainer.

Then again people need to remember that WoWs technically isn't the same developer as the rest of WG games, it's done by a tiny almost unknown developer.

So, I stat pad my wr? How exactly do I do that, while playing the same ships as everyone else has access to?

Anyone dismissing any stat and claiming it's only relevant to padder imo is just saying: Well those people have better XYZ stats but that is only because I do not do ZYX to pad it like they do!

Sad, but thanks for the laugh!

Quoting out of context there MTM78, I was referring to Wave's post about mixing up people with low win rates and high win rates.

stop putting too many noobs with 40% winrate vs competent players, balance it out

I've gone through this on WoT before with the XVM muppets, those who complain their team is full of low win rate players then rush off and die like scrubs and spend the next 10 minutes whining in chat. Meanwhile the team wins despite supposedly having worse players than the other team.

So yeah, in grand scheme of things win rate means very little when it comes to balancing matches. It's more important getting the ship balance correct.

Also I didn't say you stat pad but your high win rate didn't help us win the other night when our team went full on lemming train (Herring train maybe?) and left us on the flank alone.

Sorry for the wrong context posting :)

Solo win rate means as much as you think a single person has influence on a strain of matches, even if you do think it matters ( like me, still ) it doesn't mean it applies to a singular game in any meaningful way. For instance in that match I probably had hoped to kite the enemy advance long enough for our lemming train to push the other flank. Which works quite often, but not always.

I was watching my favorite streamer last nigth and some people where asking in chat about any giveaways he migth have

His reply was this: I´m allways trying to get stuff for you guys, its very hard to get anything from WG NA and WG EU doesn´t really seem to give a crap, so....

Personally i haven´t played much in months, the grind for XP and credits is just annoying after a whille

I was crazy about the game and i did spend money in it but considering i can only play a few hours per day, witch translates to about 5 or 6 matches, i probablly will get a tier 10 by this time next year...

I actually have better things to do with my time, i guess i just keep up to date with the game and come back when and if, its actually worth spending time in it

Just my opinion anyway, have fun all.

Happened to me on Wot and I haven't looked back since. Problem is it's now started to feel that way with WoWS. The constant grind of XP and credits, terrible mismatched matchmaking, crappy premium shop bundle deals, etc. I decided enough was enough after going into a game where we had 3 tier 8 BB's versus the enemy's 3 Iowas at tier 9. One Iowa fired at me from maximum range and left me with just over 1000 hp from full health. I quit back to port and shut down the game. I'll pop back when failgaming get their act together and start giving a crap about the 'fun' and 'fair' factor a little more. Until then they can sit on a pole and rotate some more. See ya!

I played one game. Spent the first two minutes trying to figure out how to invert the mouse. Spent the rest of the game being frustrated that my aim sucks because I can't inverse mouse.

All other games where you have to aim, you get the option to invert the mouse. If the devs don't want me to aim like I do in other games, then it's fair enough. It's their game. But for me it's a gamebreaker.
