And i am saying that what you think is BBs and CAs job. We destroyer captains simply can not hit cruisers unless they are really bad. "But that the way to wi--" i dont care. Nobody cares. If i can chose between killing a cow and killing a wendigo i will chose killing the cow.

And again why would an assassin(DD) hunt wendigo(CA) when there already is wendigo and wendigo hunter on his side. Wendigos can fight it out and wendigo hunter can hunt the wendigo thats his job. An assassin's job is to hunt the wendigo hunter. Why would an engineer do a doctor's job?

The idea behind that specific rule, is to not settle for your role, but go and do what is better, and more effective. Forget what others tell, or expect you to do. Do what ever is necessary, to get results. Even if it's hard.

I know Cruiser is much harder to hit, and more dangerous to you, but it also helps the team most.

 

Strange how it's suddenly all about the team when it suits you.

You know what also helps the team? Not sending your planes at a BB that is about to die from DD torpedoes, when your planes could actually find a new target.

 

DDs aren't your towel boys. Why would a DD captain get himself wrecked doing the hard and dirty work that you would like someone else to do so you can 'solo the remaining 8 ships'?

Especially when you reward the favour with sniping the prey the DD was hunting on grounds of 'if your torps don't get there faster than my planes that's not my problem'....

By telling me not to send planes to a certain BB, you assume that sending them happens few seconds before the attack.  Selecting a target and sending planes usually happens MINUTES before, in which time DD might not be anywhere near that target.

 

Soloing 8 battleships in the end, wins the match. If you have 8 Clevelands left, you lose the match. You clearly didn't get the point.

It's not about WHO soloes who, it's about what CAN BE DONE, to win the match in the end. That is why taking Cruisers out is very important. Carrier is usually the last one alive, and what carrier can kill, often is deciding factor of which side actually wins the match.

That is why cruisers and battleships exist. Why dont you ask cruiser's rivals and cruiser's natural hunters to hunt cruisers? If you think its hard to hunt CA for you well i got some news for you. Its worse for us DDs
