Hardcore mode

I believe a cool addition to world of warships would be som sort of harcore MM.

 

 

For example UI should be very limited.

NO Minimap (Only compass)

NO distance indicator to enemy ships.

NO Ship model indicator of enemy ships ( This way its more rewarding and useful to know enemy ship types visual apperances.)

NO Consumables. (Maybe?)

NOT being able to lock onto target... (You constantly need to move mouse to keep the lead.) (creates bigger skillgap when it comes to aiming.)

Secondarys always need to be manually appointed @ target to start firing... (Not automatically choosing target and starting to fire.)

(CTRL plus mouse 1. )

NO torpedo lead indicator. (Once again creates bigger skillgap.)

 

This is just a few of the ideas im having for some sort of harcore MM.

 

What do u guys think?

Just, no...

 

Its hard to hit some ships as it is, also I don't think anyone would play this, this is an arcade game, not simulation...

Like the idea, but I think the mini-map would stay, ships must have had plotting charts or officers to keep you informed on who is doing what

For Hard mode:

1. You must have preminum acc (well, WG need to live, right ? :) )

2. No divisions

3. Limited Ammo, and Torpedoes (you must load ammo and torps before battle)

4. Not allowed any add-ons

5. Random weather (with mist, strong rain, and sun)

6. night battle map - you see silhouette only <5 km, for more you just see lighting from guns

 

Rewards:

1. For hit 3x normal XP, and money

2. for AA, same points as guns hits

3. For team play bonus XP and money

(what is team play)

- if DD, CA, or BB spot target, another BB shot and hit, spotter get 5% bonus of DMG who is done

- AA support (for every airplane who shot and rescue team-player, you got 50% bonus XP and money for plane - if airplane target you, no bonus)

 

If you sunk 0<5 km from mission zone, 80% less repair cost

If you sunk 5-10 km 50% repair cost

If you sunk 10-20 km normal 100% repair cost

If you sunk 20+ km from mission zone 200% repair cost

i have to say i love some of your ideas!

 

limited ammo and torpedos is something i had in mind myself. 

but loading it pre battle and paying credits in advance is just brilliant!!!

Random weather and night battles is another great thing!!!

 

i think we are getting somwhere now!

keep the discussions going!

 

and get Wargaming on this ASAP!

Or instead of premium acc you need to pay 100€ (the entry to mod is worth around 20€, the other 80€ are for the flags and other stuff you probably won't even look at) :great:

So IJN destroyers will get 40km torpedoes with 1-shot-kill ability? You know 500kg explosive compared to yamato's 70kg explosive cant even be comparable. Yamato has 14.8k damage on a shell so torpedoes in hardcore mode should get 100k max damage.

Don't forget to make sure that ships running aground take massive damage and definitely deal full damage on collisions with friendly ships.

 

this is a must in hardcore mode! ofc!

Guys, for a serious hardcore mode you must lose the ship and captain if they die.  Fin, ende, game over - empty port slot.

how can you have port slot if you die with the ship? You are your captain and if your captain dies your account should get wiped

Forget the hardcore, give us massive storms, hurricanes and lightnings!!!

 

Yes! Implementing weather would be cool. Rain, snow, wind, waves... Not massive storms because fair amount of players couldn't play the game because of their slower PCs :)

Captain die only if you don't have lifeboat (and if you look on ships, every ship have lifeboats) :honoring:

instead of big weaves (big VGA demand) you can do simply this emulation on speed

Flank speed 4/4 - penalty 12% on aim

3/4 - penalty 9%

2/4 - penalty 6%

1/4 - penalty 3%

Stop - penalty 0%

Reverse - penalty 3%

 

Then you will not have that all ship racing full speed all game.

All of you have missed the requirement of making the games 1 hour long to help compensate for the massive decreases in firing accuracy at any kind of range.
