What does this actually involve as far as just skins are concerned? Guess I picked a bad day (yesterday) to learn how to use skin mods. Do I need to start again? Thank you very much for updating yours, but I'm also using a couple from other people and would like to know the things that might go wrong if I just copy-paste.

For skins, nothing, the only thing that I have to update is the flags mod which usually breaks after every update. If for example a skin broke and needed updating all you would have to do is download the new version and put it into res_mods, overwriting the old files. Nothing will go wrong - it's a super simple process.

Awesome, thanks! I do use the flags, will overwrite those with the new ones after moving everything else to the new 5.7.0 folder. War Thunder's skin mod folder was so much easier to use than this...

Keep up the good work!

You can just move everything across, nothing actually changed with the flags this time so you don't need to re-download the flags mod

Hey thanks again, copy worked fine.

One other question, I used the instructions in this thread:

http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/23543-mod050x-invisible-camouflage/

to make my own camouflages.xml file to remove the stock camo just for the premium ships I downloaded yours for. The problem is, the "original" file in that thread is very old and I can't find mine inside the game files, so because it's missing some of the more recent premiums (e.g. Indianapolis) it's wiping the camouflage from it even though I don't want it to. Do you have a more recent xml file that I can use as a starting point and delete what I want?

Excellent, thanks. Seems they changed the way things work since the other guide was posted but I worked it out and know what to do in future. :honoring:

You mean the old AA mounts on top of the turrets being re-added?

I think you messed up all the national flags on the ship models. I see a quarter of the German ensign on Russian ships in the tech tree and the azure stripe of the Russian/Soviet one on my japs. Same for the other countries, but I don't know which flags those crops belong to - I suppose signals.

For the sake of 100% accuracy, please check the signals' ones too. Maybe some of them are out of place.

No problems elsewhere, the tooltips' flags are perfect and so are the captains'.

Much appreciation for your hard work. :)

If anybody have a problem with custom ship skin .dds and camouflages overwritting it ...

this line  for specific ship and camo must be false    <tiled>false</tiled>. There is no need to remove anything in camouflages.xml

just add this lines to the end of camouflages.xml before </data>

ex. for Pensacola type 3 camo

    <camouflage>
        <annotation>Pensacola type 3 camo</annotation>
        <name>camo_3_tile</name>
        <targetShip>PASC012_Pensacola_1944</targetShip>
        <tiled>false</tiled>
    </camouflage>

Thats it. It works for every ship and camo. Just add lines for every ship and camo you don't want to be seen.

Simply when using custom ship skins, camos don't apply only visually with <tiled>false</tiled> flag used. Please stick it on other camo/skin threads.
