EsaTuunanen Beta Tester 3,552 posts 8,863 battles Report post #3 Posted September 3, 2015 Have you recently installed newer graphics card drivers? Nvidia often does drivers which can cause issues especially in older games if your card isn't of latest serie. (guess they "forget" to test drivers with older cards) And also try monitoring for example CPU load if there's some background running bloatware jamming it. This program can give hints about driver/background process caused issues: http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon

2ndaryBattleTank Beta Tester 99 posts 2,541 battles Report post #5 Posted September 3, 2015 The same thing was happening in my last match on the two brothers map. My system has always run WoWs at a rocksteady 71 FPS no matter what happened on screen. In this match it started out that way. Then a minute or so into the battle it suddenly dropped to 9-12 FPS and remained there for the rest of the game. And I certainly was not the only one experiencing this as many players on both teams were complaining. This means it pretty much has to be a bug. One guy having a shaky system, fair enough. But entire teams, all at the same time? Bug.
vildemort Beta Tester 30 posts 3,033 battles Report post #6 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Yep. Two brothers map, and frames dropped to 20fps and stayed there for the rest of the battle. And it wasn't just me. Both of my friends and few more from our team experienced excactly the same. Restarting the game helps for a little while.. aboch Beta Tester 452 posts 8,129 battles Report post #8 Posted September 3, 2015 Just wanted to open a thread myself when i saw this one. Similar problem here. I have a high end PC in my opinion. i7-4770 CPU, 32GB Ram, 64-bit Win 7, SSD HDD where the game is installed too and 2 Graphic Cards on crossfireX ( AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series and R9 200 Series ) and until now my Framrate was capped at 60 as i think it is enough. Now a sudden after the update i get all the time FPS drops down to 10 - 20 which is not acceptable imo. Soft particles disabled after the first game i made but did not solve the problem. Any ideas? Suggestions. Below my current ingame settings:

Small objects not disabled as i play carriers too, but not yet tried them to see how it is going there. Another thing that came to my attention is that pre update i got into the battle about 20 seconds earlier, now even do not make it in time allways at battlestart.... Must be connected in my opinion somehow.

aboch Beta Tester 452 posts 8,129 battles Report post #14 Posted September 3, 2015 fixed it as it seems. Uninstalled a software that came with AMD catalyst, AMD evolution or something like that that records the last 2 hours of game play .... Seems that fixed the problem, at least for now ... Tatoosh Beta Tester 89 posts 3,141 battles Report post #15 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I just "upgraded" my system to try and improve game play in World of Warships - I went to 4 gb of ram, installed Windows 7 64 bit Professional, and grabbed a cheaper but newer card than my old GPU, I went with a PALIT GeForce 210 1 gb ram. Before, I'd crash occasionally - likely due to lack of ram (had 2 gb before), but my 512k GPU gave me pretty consistent 30 fps most of the time - on the low setting in controls. I know the PALIT 210 is not a great card, but I thought with the other improvements in the system and it having twice as much ram on the card as the previous GPU, I'd be able to get a higher fps and/or kick it up to medium on the game's graphics controls. That is a big negatory! Now, I'm down to 15 fps with drops down to 7 fps occasionally. When I set the controls to medium - then I'm at 7 fps tops and it was like playing under a strobe light. Bleh! The good part is no more crashes and much faster loading. I'm not always the last one in now. I've dialed the graphics back to low. The game is playable, but I was hoping for a bit better. I tried the drives from Palit and then downloaded Nividia's latest driver package and tried it. No difference in frame rates. I have a hard time believing the lower fps is due to my system given the improvements. I'm still hoping to get a GTX 660 used, but if they've puked on internals, I guess there is no reason to be in any hurry on that. DestoryerO_o Beta Tester 188 posts 384 battles Report post #17 Posted September 4, 2015 Well, this patch added Trees and Foliage to the maps. Those won't be rendered if you set Graphics quality to less than "medium". I suggest playing a few games under those settings to see if it changes anything for you. [ARRSE] cracktrackflak Weekend Tester 947 posts Report post #18 Posted September 4, 2015 I think its server issue. I haven't experienced it on EU, but playing 20 or so games on NA last night (with perfectly good ping), I had three games or so where the fps experienced dropped from c.60 down to c.10. The ping was normal on each occasion, and the low fps didn't last for the entire game before reverting to normal. I run a GTX 670 in my PC, and it has been rock solid for all games including WG titles.

The fps issue has been around for a while but before the patch it became way worse, also on Ocean the fps in bouncing from 10-76 with in 2 seconds and not one player but like half of the players are having issues at the same time. Now when i died it suddenly stopped and my fps was normal again, other people in the game said the same thing : when they die fps goes back to normal. First time this happened to me in 1,5 months of playing. using windows 7 intel i7 2600 @3.40 GHz GTX 760 16GB DDR3 RAM

cometcruiser Players 56 posts 5,246 battles Report post #25 Posted September 5, 2015 I have started the game this afternoon to find its almost unplayable. I have a decent machine, has been running this game without any lags on Medium settings. Even the patch with trees on wednesday or thursday caused no problems. I have set the graphics on low today, and this made no difference. Low frame rate, lags, bad graphics, im having a bad day!
