Ranked Battles - disappointing start!

Well, with a week off I was looking forward to the new patch bringing Ranked Battles. Cup of coffee at hand sat down and updated......... Coffee consumed let's enter the game........ loads port...........Ok, select Myoko........ Right select Ranked Battles...... WHAT!!!!

 

Unavailable for 14 days! Not particularly happy here as that was my main point of interest with this patch.

I was so disapointed. Coffee was on. Game patch installed perfect.

 

Then unavaible in 14 days? Why on earth do they posts in the update note that ranked battle will
be avaible, just to call it 14 days delay?

Probably becourse they need 2 weeks of data for the ranked battles to work. If they activate it now you still get mixed players as all start new in that rank and ppl will whine about how bad ranked mm is.

I'm sure they already told us this up front, I think what we need to find out as a community is how the new balance of ship updates and changes are affecting the game. It seams like a wise move to me that they take a little time to gather data and see what is good, bad and ugly (DDs).

I see that in ranked battles, there's a limit on certain ship types. Does that mean that there has to be a certain amount of ship types on each team, or can a team be filled with only destroyers, for example?

Updating very slow, will take at least an hour. That's why in asking here:

Hope they have made some kind of "line up" and not like the crap in wot where you have to play 5-10 tanks (on a park of 400) to be competitive.

 Ranked Battles is a season-long event available to all players not enlisted in divisions, with Tier VI-VII ships and Level 9 accounts. All you need to do is pick a ship, select “Ranked Battles”, and join the Battle! Ranked Battles are slightly different from their standard counterparts: each team can have no more than 7 players, and the maximum number of aircraft carriers and battleships is limited to one and two respectively.

I'm sorry for you, but it wouldn't be that a surprise if you did carefully read the patch notes. I'm citing here:

It goes without saying that the first season of Ranked Battles, which is scheduled for a couple of weeks after the update release, will be a test run. We will scrutinise the gathered statistics and feedback from participants, follow their progress and plan further development of Ranked Battles.

At least you'll have those well organised friendly random battles that we love so much

I felt a bit disappointed as well, but I understand that another possible cause for the delay is that a lot of players may still not have a tier 6 ship in their port.

I think it was about 1.2 GB or so if I remember right.

 

Maybe I'm wrong.

You also get 3 Million credits reaching Rank 9
