Aldramelech Beta Tester 1,753 posts Report post #3 Posted August 26, 2015 Dude, You've played 33 PVP games. Your highest ship is the Phoenix and you've played 6 games in that. Now, to be frank, your also not very good (at the moment) and clearly you have much to learn. I can assure you that if I was playing Phoenix atm any T4 BB in the game I was playing would need to be very wary of me, and I'm an average player at best. Cruisers in this game, in the right hands can absolutely hold their own. You've played some DD battles as well and again, to be frank, DD's at the stage you are at might not be a great idea. DD's are very hard to get right but if you can master them, are deadly to everyone. I suggest you go to youtube and watch some guides, Jingles "How not to suck" is a good start and WG have put up some useful ones too. Maybe get on the official TS channel and see if you can get an experienced player to run out with you and give you some tips. Your impression of the game so far is very wrong and that is understandable given your level of experience, educate yourself and I promise, you'll have more fun. First welcome to the Forum! Second you need to play a bit more before you come that conclusion old chap! also you have the St Louis widely regarded the best ship in game by tier if not somewhat over powered. Its very rare for a Carrier player to do the perma spotting! in fact i would say the most common Spotter at least at low teirs is a Stealthy DD Note BB = battleship (not BS) CR = Cruiser CV = Aircraft Carrier DD = Destroyer These are real world abbreviations that the game has adopted it will help reduce confusion if you use them Remember for a plane to spot you they must be DD's they have to be within 3-4km CR they need to be 6-8km its only realy BB and CV they Aircraft can spot easily. Rule of thumb (approx) DD detection range from air is about half there surface detectability CR ist about 2/3 and BB/CV surface detection and Air detection is very similar hope this helps Edited August 26, 2015 by T0byJug 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He has not had chance to show any attitude he just made a comment that shows he is yet to understand the spotting mechanic for aircraft in game!! Its easy for someone to make that assumption he has as in the real world an aircraft in the air will see way way further than any lookout on a ship! CVs dont only spot, they blow stuff out of the water even more than BBs, but pretty spot on otherwise... CV > BB >>> others (and stats confirm those findings)... and needed only 33 games for that, nice! Kinda sad to see thread full of people trying to ridicule the guy who needed 20 times less matches than them to figure out the fact that the game is in a very bad state atm, and getting worse... Guess its those kind of people who think you need hundreds of games to figure the game out... when in reality, if you get to t5, game is pretty obvious Some even trying to claim he doesnt know plane spotting mechanics... like that stops CVs from spotting everyone lol 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
