Battle Results needs a chat. I want to discuss the end result with my team.

When a great battle has ended, I'd love the opportunity to chat with the two teams. At least with those who are still connected to the battle. What went wrong, who did well, talking to the opponents too. Its a shame that the results screen comes up so fast. Or let it come, and continue the chat. That would be great.

Just like you can sit and watch the stats, the chat should still be there.

Agree. Of course, the majority of time it would be full of swearing, but sometimes it would be interesting to discuss the events or simply congratulate good players.

Lol then get rid of ingame chat too if that's a drawback.  Just add an ignore function.

OP, you're a good man. Hence, you wish to talk to both teams.

Trust me, after the first "friendly chat after the battle", you would become bitter.

Crying, recrimination, name calling and general stat snobbery is what would happen there, it is a nice idea but unfortunately a large portion of the playerbase are not fit for human company.

For those more interested in getting back into the next battle it would probably be quite irritating, quickly leading to the behaviour described in previous posts.

Sad that everyone assumes the chat would be toxic. It is like Terrorism, the trolls have already won since you have given them power. Take back our community with kindness and caring.

Well said.  Toxic chat accounts for no more than 5% of my battles and if you discount the ones who leave the battle after being sunk with a "TEAM OF IDIOTS!" sign off then it would be less than 1%.  Besides, any troll who wants to hang around a battle's chatroom after a battle is already missing the fun of his next troll battle and with the addition of a simple "Ignore" button we are keeping them out of chat and out of battle - WIN WIN.

I would like this as well, would be nice to hear the reaction of those people complaining about others and then seeing in the team list they actually did worse then the people they were raving about in chat during the game.

But tbh if you want tactical value, you would need a loading screen showing ship spawn positions and a chat so you can coordinate before the match starts instead of after the battle has ended.

The 30s loading time in battle is useless for this mostly since a lot of people are still loading in quite late ( judging from the afk people the first minute in almost every battle ).

In a perfect world, yes, great idea. In reality? NO!

1. By the end of the game, the majority of the teams, certainly the ones that were sunk will be long gone.

2. The chat environment in this game is usually not very friendly, I think adding this feature will just invite some VERY sore losers to vent their anger at those that had the NERVE to sink them and also the 'noobs' on their own team who of course, directly lead to themselves being sunk.

The only time youre going to get a reasonable de-brief and sensible chat about the previous game is when youre part of a division and in that case, you already can chat with your two team mates anyway.

Wow, you have such a great opinion about mankind. How do you keep it up in chat ?

You think it will end this way ? It would end the other way round. The low performers don't want to loose their face or they think they don`t want to loose it and will start raging and insulting even more. Like kids. You tell them what will happen next, they refuse to listen, get punished and then, they start insulting you because you were the idiot who knows nothing. Have seen this crap so often ....

Let them, just more screenshots to be added to the ticket to support ( if it's really over the top ).

When you look at the result screen most of your team is already sinking in the next battle they went into. The rest...can't speak english.

In general you get snapped and yelled at after just saying gg after a match, whether you won or lost. Being polite these days gets you nothing but insults, so I personally stopped caring.

The good players will also rage, but this is often because of the many problems this game face. Players become frustrated when they lose or underperform due to things not related to their own performance, like extremely lopsided matchmaking, RNG stuck at bad and allies that can not communicate and play like crap.

And the noobs will like in any game; rage for stupid reasons.

I agree that it would be a good idea - unfortunately I do also agree that it might at times go less than well! I really wanted to tell one player how well I thought he had played but had no compliment this player tickets left. If sunk, I try to stick around simply to look for good play so that I can emulate this. Exceptions will be when I was truly awful!!

I tried this thing as an experiment. Getting on a T8 Atago and speak up in all chat saying "I am totally new to the game and just got this ship". You will be surprised by the amount of warm welcome you get from both side of the teams. Of course, the more toxic "wallet warrior" hate and name calling does pop up every now and then, but people are generally better behaved on WoWS than WOT from my experience.

Exactly this. In a world of sunshine and rainbows this may work, but in reality Simonmd got it right!

It's bad enough on here and WOT forums with the amount of stats warriors ripping chunks out of each other over this tank/tech tree is better with added don't put your opinion in as your a noob with low stats ect. you would think as a large proportion of them live isolated lives in their bedroom of hotel mum and dad ,they would crave a little human kindness and interaction. So all pledge to be nice to trolls and reply with thanks for your tactical input and sign off with hugs and kisses, should throw them off

This would only annoy you to the point of insults if you were the target of ridicule, but looking at your stats (  ) that shouldn't be the case so I'm wondering who pissed in your cornflakes?

Trust me, you're wrong son. It's been around in League of Legends for years and it works fine there.

and LOL players are lots, lots, lots and LOTS more toxic than WoW players i've ever seen.

As to those who wish to start a new battle: Just let them do so.

No need to wait for the screen, it's only supposed to be there at the end of battle, and only for those remaining in game =)

EDIT: Might just need to add, there are some fairly hefty report and punishment systems implemented in LOL to keep player behaviour in line and reeducate the flamers etc.

Since WG are russians and evey LOL players knows the EUNE server is (BY FAR) the worst server with respects to flame (due to being populated by russians - I'm speaking from painfull experience here), I fear the otherwise nice idea of a postbattle screen will not be implemented.
