Puffadder Beta Tester 117 posts Report post #2 Posted August 16, 2015 Take a close look at ingame Tech Tree. It's quite obvious how you acquire your first battleship.
Goktsu Players 163 posts Report post #3 Posted August 16, 2015 Sorry i don't get it, you need to have a tier 1 class ship in order to research to tier 2 then tier iii. But as i mentioned earlier there is no tier 1 battle ship so how can you spend research point to get to the next level?
WatchdogCZ Players 173 posts 669 battles Report post #4 Posted August 16, 2015 You start with a cruiser, then you can sidestep to DD, BB and CV trees as shown by the arrows in the tech tree. There indeed is no Tier I BB, but there is a Tier II Premium BB, the Mikasa, but it is not available anymore You may, however, meet her in low Tier battles. Hello Goktsu, Classes can and do sprout from other classes as per below; It is always possible earlier BB's (pre-dreadnoughts?) could be introduced to fill in tiers 1 and 2 at a later date. Lower tier BB's already are dreadnaughts. It's pre-dreadnaught ships that would peraps fit tier 2, like Mikasa already is.

Vanhal Alpha Tester 5,609 posts 5,569 battles Report post #8 Posted August 16, 2015 Hmm, i have an idea. Everyone know the first two tier of BB's are terribad, so maybe WG should make those on tiers I and II (for the sake of tradition) and make III and IV tiers actually fun and usable like V and VI are now (except New York, it is no fun, although usable)? While Tier II BBs would be possible, I'm pretty sure that an additional Tier I ship of what ever class will never happen. It's "tradition" that every nation has one Tier I tank/plane/ship, In WoT it's light tanks, in WoWp it's multirole fighters and in WoWs it's cruisers that start each nations tech tree. I am sure you are correct, tier 2 as a start for the early pre-dreadnoughts seems more logical.

I don't know your tech tree, but why in the earth mine tech tree is different from yours? My Chester is not going to South Carolina and Erie not goes to DD. [DDLS] Naskoni Players 674 posts 1,234 battles Report post #22 Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) A tier 1 battleship? That thing would have 1 turret with dispersion the equivalent of firing randomly in a 180 degree arc and would have a range of 7km with secondaries with a range of 1km. Oh, and if its an American battleships would have a top speed of 12 knots... That ship would be real fun to play with... or not... Hence the first starts at tier III Don't. Please just don't do this to yourself. Here is the number for a suicide help line: +44845 790 9090, give them a ring and don't grind battleships. Battleships are basically xp pinatas for other players until you reach North Carolina (tier 8 USA) and Kongo (tier 5 JP) or Yamato (tier 10 JP) depending on how much enemy CV likes you. 506_Mephisto Players 81 posts Report post #24 Posted August 18, 2015 I hope for Tier 2 BBs... Ships like the Deutschland-Class (1904) look so awesome, even they were all obsolete during WW 1, thanks to the dreadnoughts. But well, so were the current Tier 3 ships, and Nassau and Dreadnought, which I believe will be the German and the British Tier 3 BB (The Russian Tier 3 BB might even be a pre dreadnought, since they built the first one very late...)
